5.00The trip to Obuse was wonderful- a great mix of art, culture, history intermingled with an intimate view of life in an authentic Japanese town that has inspired some of Japan’s most famous artists. The sake tasting and delicious lunch were icing on the cake!

5.00Masa met us at the train stop (only 30 min from Nagano) and was a fantastic guide. He knows the nooks and crannies of Obuse, and showed us through the local private garden ways that residents have opened to the public. Throughout the tour he also took multiple professional quality photos of us, which were emailed afterwards. The sale tasting was at a small local brewery, and the product was of very high quality. Our lunch was at one of the best restaurants in Obuse, which was a nice change from the bare bones offerings on many other tours. The sights on this tour are well worth the trip, and Masa provided a personal touch that was simply unforgettable. I recommend this tour without hesitation.
