This tour is a unique way to explore the City. The team are friendly, our guide was excellent, great English, so knowledgeable about everything on the tour. Helped us understand the history, food and flavours of the Country. We definitely recommend this tour for a fun and pleasant way to enjoy a few hours learning about the culture of Cambodia.

Inspired by Khmer, the Royal Palace looks a lot like an ancient pagoda. The site is airy and there are few people. In the inner gallery of the perimeter wall, do not skip the long fresco telling the adventures of the Ramayana

I was lucky enough to be the only person on this tour. We started at Central Market and while I had already looked around, I learnt so much more! Travelling by cyclo to various places was definitely a highlight. Very comfortable with the best view of the streets. My guide was great company and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!

We took a cyclo tour of the city together with a private tour. Absolutely the best way to see the city. Nice pace to take photos on route. Adapt tour to what you want to see. Safe and comfortable. Aim to tip each driver about 2 dollars on top of cost to company.

My husband and I were looking for a way to see the city, as we were in town for a short time. We were hesitant to join another tour by van, as you never know what you are going to get and had some so-so experiences earlier on our trip. The Cyclo trip was perfect! The ride was way more peaceful (even in the busy city) than a moto would have been, and we were able to stop where we wanted to and just drive on by the sights we were less interested in. Our Cyclo drivers, while didn't speak English knew the route and were always waiting for us at each stop. I would highly recommend this tour.

This cyclo tour is highly recommended. I did a cyclo tour here years ago as part of an organised Mekong River tour but this tour is much much better, being able to hop on hop off at sites of interest and the cyclo driver waits. You get a much closer feel for local life and at a slower pace on a cyclo than from a taxi or tuk tuk. It’s amazing how the rider safely weaves through the chaotic traffic of Phnom Penh. Not only is this tour good fun but it supports local cyclo drivers who have a difficult time competing for trade against the ever increasing numbers of tuk tuks.

The concept of the self guided cyclo tour via am app is a good 1. Unfortunately the execution by the local Grasshopper team let it down. They gave us little information when we checked in. Upon arrival they instructed me to download the app on my phone which took around 15min (varies depending on internet connection). Once it was downloaded I realised (they did not mention) when I saw the cyclo that the cyclo was for 1 person. So my wife would be in another cyclo. Ok fine. But they didn’t tell us to download the app on her phone!! So we spent another 15min doing that. The internet connection in PP can be very slow so we eventually gave up and asked for them to give her 1 of their pre-loaded phones (we didn’t pay bc they had wasted engh of our time at this point and had realised they should have told us at the beginning). Lack of common sense that a little bit of information would have resolved. Prior to booking, We were debating whether to do the biking or cyclo version of this tour. DO NOT DO THE BIKING VERSION. You need to pay attention to the road as the traffic is nutso in PP - you do not want to be looking down and checking your app every 30seconds. There were some very big and congested roads on This route. You are asking for trouble and a visit to the local hospital. We are experienced bikers and thought we would not have enjoyed the tour if biking. Make sure you have 4G / internet connection on your phone. Otherwise rent the phone from them.

Loved it! Great way to see, and get a feel for, Phnom Penh! Good information. Good circuit around the city, taking in the new and the old parts of town. Drivers know the 'circuit' and stop to let one explore places of interest. Recommend!

Please do not do this tour. I stopped it after the 1 km and gave the driver a US 15 tip and left it. This is for a number of reasons: 1 Safety is quite low. The Grasshopper app even says that a safety guidelines must be provided by the Grasshopper person - that is not done. The person who was at the Grasshopper Tours counter in Phnom Penh spoke only basic English. 2 The rickshaw driver does not speak English AT ALL and he has not been given the route by Grasshopper. One assumes the route of the tour has been provided to the Rickshaw driver, this is absolutely not the case. You need to guide him and tell where to turn. That is really a challenge when you are in a strange city. It also means the hood of the rickshaw must be down with the sun glaring on you. On this point I was on a global roaming plan so had GPS - not sure how this would work if your mobile is not connected to data - I assume it means even greater reliance on you being able to navigate the streets of Phnom Penh. 3 The drivers are old and it seemed downright cruel to make them pedal you on an old bike with just one gear. 4 Safety is low due to high traffic in Phnom Penh
