With Backpacker Helsinki Tour you will enjoy a perfect guiding hike in the National Park of Nuuksio. During the walk, we will cross many different lakes and type of landscapes ! Nuuksio National Park reflect perfectly the spectacular beauty of Finnish forest, the Taïga !
On our trip, I will share with you many informations about Finland and it wildlife and flora. Depending on the season, you will have the opportunity to pick berries or mushrooms !
In the heart of the winter, depending on the snowpack, possibility to practice snowshoes during the hike !
During the break in the Taïga, you will enjoy a delicious "Glögi" served with Finnish biscuits.
And on the summer, possible to swim in a pristine lake !
I will propose you the perfect trek corresponding to your level of hiking.
We will end by sharing an authentic home made Finnish soup served with a traditional bread and beverage in a Laavu, the Finnish fire camp !

Great guide, but disappointing booking experience

4.00We did the booking through Tripadvisor, but when we arrived we found that our reservation had not been taken into account. It was quite an uncomfortable situation at the start. Fortunately, the guide was very kind and resourceful. He arranged a solution for our transport by organizing an Uber, and also improvised the meal by offering us a sandwich, since it had not been planned for us. Although the beginning was disappointing due to the lack of coordination, the guide’s attitude helped to save the experience. Even so, I believe it is important to improve the management of reservations to avoid this kind of problem.
If you want a few hours outside Helsinki, take this tour with David. It's totally worth it!

5.00I had a great few hours outside Helsinki. I get to enjoy beautiful scenery ama fresh air. David took us around some stunning lakes and shared interesting facts. Really appreciate the mushroom soup, it was delicious! And the mull wine was just what I needed to warm up my body. Had a really great time with this tour.

4.00Pick up and drop off was easy to find and on time. It's a short drive to the forest, maybe 20 minutes. The forest is beautiful and peaceful. The guide provided spikes for our boots at the start of the hike, as it was pretty icy in spots. The warm juice at the midpoint of the hike and soup at the end were tasty. The guide offered information about the flora and fauna throughout. I would definitely go again.

5.00A hike that lives up to our expectations or even exceeded 😉 David knew how to make this 3-hour walk very interesting with the sharing of information related to the local flora and fauna, quieter moments conducive to the introspection released by this place. The management of transport from Helsinki city centre is very appreciative. I would actively recommend 😉

3.00The national Park is beautiful and the guide was knowledgable. The hike was very quick though. Not a problem for fitness but it would have been better to be able to take in the view as that was the reason we were there. I did have concerns about safety too, as the guide left us behind a few times!

5.00Brilliant day out. David was an enthusiastic guide with great knowledge. We were lucky to pick a glorious winter's day for our hike with the trees heavy with snow. Beautiful! The food provided was also tasty and interesting. Would most definitely recommend.
