Louise was the exact historian we’d hoped for: kindly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, friendly. 1.5 hours flew by as if it were 20 minutes, such was the richness and depth of knowledge Louise is able to conjure up at every step. This was the first of many future walking tours. If you’re on the fence, commit; you won’t be disappointed.

Louise was a great guide and our tour of Colchester with her was very enjoyable and informative. We covered a lot in our hour and 45 mins and there are a lot of well preserved historical buildings and ruins.

Our tour guide Louise was very nice and gave us an interesting tour with lots of insights into the city's history, including nice stories on the side. Even the fact that we got waylaid by a surprise visit in the tour did not faze her. Excellent tour and we highly recommended. Thank you Louise from Ian and Sadiya

Really enjoyed the walking tour of Colchester, both myself (an Essex native) and my friend visiting from Colorado learned a lot and enjoyed the way Ian played on the myth and legend before suggesting a more realistic version of events.

We highly recommend this tour. Di was so knowledgeable and interesting knew everything about Colchester. My partner was in an electric wheelchair and managed the tour preferably fine. Fun and informative. Also Di went out of her way to look after us. Would love to go again next time in Colchester. Thanks again Di

Really amazing tour with an incredibly knowledgeable and personable guide, Di. She knew loads of history about Colchester (obviously) but also a lot about various towns and counties around. We would definitely have missed out on a lot of Colchester's hidden gems if we hadn't done this tour and saw some lovely buildings, gardens and a ghost. Di was fantastically helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The tour wasn't rushed - in fact, Di went well over the allotted time and didn't mind in the slightest. Would thoroughly recommend
