A great choice if you want meaningful insight into Comuna 13 and a guide who truly cares about both the community and the people visiting it. Highlights: - Small group: made the experience personal and interactive - Excellent historical context: helps understand Comuna 13 beyond what you’d get on a typical tour - Timeliness: tour stayed on time, which I really appreciated (many other Comuna 13 tours reportedly run well over schedule) - Sergio is a fantastic guide: fluent English, eloquent, personable, genuinely engaging, down to give honest recs for things around Medellin - Delicious homemade food - Opportunity to see some less touristy paths and areas of the comuna - Proceeds support the Insiders Foundation, so your participation directly benefits the local community Constructive Feedback: - I would have liked to see more of the comuna overall - maybe do more of the taking while walking - The pace felt a bit slow at times; some repetition in explanations of mural meanings, which could have been more concise Overall highly recommend! :)

Sergio was so thoughtful and attentive to the needs and questions of our group members. Excellent experience! Also meaningful to support such a worthwhile youth education organization.

5.00This is the best tour I’ve ever done. Sergio was the kindest guy, so passionate and knowledgeable about the area and the history. He took us to some incredible places outside the main hotspots that only a local would know. On top of that the foundation uses the tour money to help educate local kids and you can see the great work they do. Highly recommend

5.00We had an amazing time touring the streets of Comuna 13 with our guide Sergio and learning about the history from someone who was born and raised there. He went into great detail and answered all our questions. Amazing to see all the murals, performances and culture! Highly recommend as the proceeds help a not-for-profit for the youth in the community!

5.00We really enjoyed the street performers Trovadela13 and the rappers. The history, art and vibe was great. The paleta was amazing! Our guide was such an amazing guide we felt like our family was walking us through! He was awesome!
