Itinerary:
1. Auckland - Your tour starts in New Zealand’s largest city. As we drive out of the city your guide will not only set the scene for your adventure today but also point out and guide you past some of the city’s top highlights.
2. Waikato - Exiting Auckland we travel south through the stunning Waikato countryside, the most extensive farming area in the world, encountering beautiful scenery, mighty rivers, great photo opportunities, impressive mountains and several farm animals along the way.
3. Hobbiton Movie Set - Arriving at ‘Hobbiton’ you will board one of the big green Hobbiton buses for a two & a half hour fully guided tour of this amazing 12 acre movie set with a professional Hobbiton guide to ensure you get the most out of your visit. During your tour step into the lush pastures of the Shire, visit 44 hobbit holes, see amazing gardens, hear the secrets and stories about the making of the movies and enjoy a cold complimentary beverage at the famous Hobbiton pub ‘The Green Dragon Inn’.
4. Auckland - Sadly we must start to head north again but your day is not over with a fully guided return trip to Auckland including surprise stops. Depending on weather and timing our guides love doing other surprise stops. Maybe a scenic stop near a lake or the chance to try New Zealand ice creams, we love introducing you to local wildlife and animals. You will have to jump on the tour to see where you go!

5.00Pickup was on time and the driver (Ark) was incredibly friendly and well informed about local landmarks and history. We got there with plenty of time to browse the gift shop and have lunch before the tour started and enjoyed a scenic drive on the way back which also arrived with no delays. Overall a fantastic experience.

5.00We had the best experience with our driver Jeoff from Cheeky Kiwi! Made the ride to Hobbiton very smooth and comfortable, giving us lots of history on New Zealand. Hobbiton was absolutely beautiful and our tour guide there, James, was so much fun to be around. Definitely would recommend.

Hanoz provided funny commentary along the way and was able to get us back to the city in time for our concert later that evening! Win! The movie set tour was out of this world and we're so glad we took the day to go see it.

5.00Our friendly Cheeky Kiwi Tour driver-guide Hanoz was terrific, providing interesting commentaries on Hobbiton and Auckland as well as New Zealand history and culture, while driving professionally and safely, for a comfortable mini-bus ride from downtown Auckland to Hobbiton and back. The drive from Auckland to Hobbiton takes over two hours and Hanoz's personable style and humour seemed to make the time go by fast. Good job Hanoz! Being a fan of The Lord Of The Rings/Hobbit movies, I was looking forward to visiting The Shire set and the set tour did not disappoint! Molly, our enthusiastic and knowledgeable Hobbiton guide was fantastic, providing loads of background and inside information of how many of the memorable scenes of the three movies were created at the actual set locations. We had ample time to take pictures and videos as we were guided through the sprawling set. This was a super fun experience and I highly recommend it, especially if you're a fan of the movies, or aspire to be one.

5.00We had a fabulous day visiting Hobbiton. Sam was a fantastic guide sharing interesting information about beautiful New Zealand along the way. We had a lovely, small group on our bus and Sam's LOTR quiz was a hit! The weather was perfect too, and the ice-cream stop on the way back was a bonus! Definitely a highlight of our holiday, we highly recommend this tour.
