We booked for the 10.15 am tour but I don't think it matters about the exact time, as you have to get there 15 minutes beforehand but they didn't open the gates till after 10.00 am. I really interesting tour about the brewery and family quite alot of steps but there is a lift to come down near the end. If you are a Liverpool FC you will really appreciate the dressing room, if not you'll probably avoid it 😃 You have a free beer or soft drink at the end of the tour and a near area to drink it. We also booked for 12pm the beer tasting which went down well and was popular. A great visit enjoyed by all.

An enjoyable experience that offers an insight to the history of Carlsberg. A beer included at the end of the tour which was really enjoyable. Very knowledgable and professional staff. The Italian bar man in particular was knowledgable and welcoming.

The exhibition is interesting and very large. It is not suitable for people with disabilities. Afterwards there is also a beer to taste. We tried the Easter beer, which is almost fruity. In the shop you could try a Tuborg with coffee roasting. That was very interesting. Anyone who has been to other breweries has seen more.

Staff rude to the reception (first room), disrespectful in a free way. When asked to receive the welcome beer tasting, the attendant in the first room expressed denial and railing against us without cause. Tour not very representative of beer production and very focused on the founders. Very negative experience.

1. Exaggerated price for the type of visit that exclusively tells the life of the founder. The entire route takes place in rooms carved out of the old factory with large screens that create confusion. I would have expected, given the total digitalization of the route, that the dialogues would be available not only and exclusively in English (and Danish subtitles). Very little is told about brewing. 2. Grumpy and unwelcoming staff. We were a group of eight people who entered the first room of the visit last. We found a staff member who had distributed to all guests (except us) a glass with a taste of beer and was describing how the visit would take place. Out of politeness we didn't interrupt. At the end we asked to have the taste but the attendant told us to continue. Four of us insisted. The attendant with a lot of nervousness slammed a glass on the counter and angrily poured the beer out of the glass. An experience to forget.

At the first room of the tour we were greeted with rudeness by the staff girl at the request to taste the beer. Also high ticket price for the experience offered

This engaging exhibition takes you on a captivating journey through the history of the Carlsberg family. It was particularly insightful, as I hadn’t fully appreciated the challenges and hardships they faced in creating what is now a world-renowned beer. The experience begins and ends with a complimentary beer—or a soft drink if you prefer—and there are plenty of opportunities for photos along the way. One of the highlights was seeing the stabled horses, especially during feeding time, which added a charming and memorable touch. We chose to dine in the restaurant afterwards, which perfectly rounded off the afternoon. Overall, it offered excellent value for money—both educational and enjoyable for visitors of all ages. The warm, clean setting also makes it an ideal choice for a day out, even when the weather isn’t great. If you’re hoping to see the famous Elephant Gates for a photo, it’s worth noting that they aren’t part of the exhibition itself. However, they’re just a short walk up the road and around the corner, and the surrounding area is well worth exploring in its own right.

really interesting visit, lots to see, took us more that two hours. Lovely bar at the end with a free beer! Didn't know much about making beer beforehand or the scientific work Carlsberg undertake, explained in an interesting and innovative way.

We have done lots of different brewery tours and honestly we found the Carlsberg one a little boring. There were too many videos and not enough interaction style elements. It wasn’t worth the money and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The Carlsberg was very nice though.

A great tour that gives a lot of insight into the history of Carlsberg. With lots of anecdotes and great delivery. You can also learn about the production of beer and do many great activities that you can have provided at the end. But I only give 4 * because I booked too early and therefore cannot get to my activities. Also the friendly staff at the end of the tour in the bar tried to help, but unfortunately had to fit and tell me that I booked too early. 😞😞
