Hong Islands or Koh Hong is part of Than Bok Khorani National Park, a relaxing island on the Krabi coastline. Spend your day doing nothing but lazing on virgin sands. What To Expect
Koh Pak Bia (also spelled Phak Bia) is a small island that belongs to the Koh Hong archipelago. Located right between Koh Yao Noi and Krabi coast (Only option By speedboat)
Ko Lao La Ding
Koh Lao Lading is a short distance from Hong Island. Another small limestone island with high cliffs and sandy sheltered beaches.

1.00It’s like a production line. So many people. You had to queue to get on and off the islands. It was awful. But then the whole Krabi area is completely overrun with tourists.

3.00The tour starts very late, after 10 a.m., when the sun is already very strong. The tour should start much earlier. The snorkeling experience was not good. The boat was parked in a low-tide area where there were jellyfish and sea urchins. I accidentally stepped on a sea urchin, and the tour guide kept saying it was “okay” and not to worry. However, I still had spines stuck in my foot and had to go to a medical clinic after the tour to have them removed, as it was very painful, inflamed, and at risk of infection. The tour guide was very dismissive of the situation and did not provide any guidance or advice on what to do. The beaches themselves are undeniably beautiful, but they get extremely crowded, as expected. It is also disappointing that all the beaches had designated smoking areas. It’s hard to understand why smoking is allowed in a national park that is meant to be protected and preserved.

4.00Really cool trip! Couldn’t really snorkel because there were jellyfish around but you could still do it if you wanted to! Hong island was really pretty, would recommend anyone to go (especially up to the viewpoint)
