Anthony seemed a bit flustered initially but it turned out to be a great tour. Nothing was too much trouble for him. I did Glow worms, Skywalk, Curtis Falls and Lookout all in plenty of time with no hanging about and great commentary from Anthony when appropriate . Would highly recommend and Plenty of Reasons to be Cheerful. Really enjoyed the day

The company could really improve with clearer communication. At the start, we were handed a laminated map but given no guidance about what to see, how the timetable worked, or how to make the most of the day. Because of the disorganisation, it was after 11am before we even managed to see or do anything. When we got off the bus, the first question was “What do you want to do?”—but we had no idea what the options were or how it all worked. We said the falls, so they took us there, only for us to be told its better to start with the treetop walk. It wasn’t just us who were confused. Another couple became so worried about not getting picked up that they started walking in the heat. The staff clearly mean well, and they do want everyone to have a good time, but for a paid tour this level of confusion just isn’t good enough. With better communication and structure, the experience could be much better. As it stands, hiring a car would have been the easier option.

The experience was terrible. Was advised of pickup at 9.10am but was 9.30. No commentary from driver at all. Arrived Mt Tamborine and was told ‘I’m only the driver, tell me what you want to do’ He talked as if you were familiar with the place but as a first visitor I had no idea what to do. He didn’t seem to know what he was doing either.

Anthony our driver was knowledgeable, provided details of activities that we could participate in throughout the day, was always available to pick up and drop off again. Wonderful day.

Great trip up Mt Tambourine which gives you plenty of opportunity to visit a variety of activities. Andy the bus steerer was a character who goes our of his way to accomodate all of his passengers. He was very knowledgeable on all things Mt Tambourine.

Hop on Hop Off, but the drivers go the extra mile for you. They treat you like you are a personal charter. Graham, first driver from Brisbane was on time, very friendly and helpful. Then when you get to Tambourine Mountain you meet up with a different driver to take you personally to your chosen hike or location. Andy, was very friendly and managed to take you where you want to go. Gives you advice as to what you should do. Then organizes everyone’s day to make sure it includes what you need to do while on the mountain. Great guy. All the while, informing you of the highlights, while on Tambourine Mountain. Both drivers go above and beyond. Normal Hop on Hop Off, the driver is just responsible for driving you around only. These guys go the extra mile with a smile.

This really shouldn’t be called a hop on hop off tour as it’s misleading. You are really just following a tour schedule that’s been pre-decided by the company and there’s little freedom to do what you want to do. The description says you can tailor your day, spend as much time as you want at each point you want to stop at and catch the next bus. That’s not how it works.
