Hue Imperial City (The Citadel)
We will visit the working and the residence place of 13 Emperors, concubines and eunuchs. It includes: The citadel, Royal city and Forbidden city.
Thien Mu Pagoda
Taking a dragon boat to go along the Perfume river to visit the oldest pagoda in Center and South of Vietnam from 1601. There are many stories and myths about the locals and Kim Long village. Visiting the Phuoc Duyen tower, Marble turtle, great bell, Three door gate, Dai Hung main pagoda, Bonsai trees, Aston martin car of the monk who burnt himself in 1963.

5.00The tour was wonderful. Mr Chuong was a knowledgeable and friendly guide, and I went away knowing so much more about the history and culture in Hue. Food at Quan Hanh was really delicious and authentic. We were picked up in Hoi An and had a very comfortable and rewarding trip!

5.00Fantastic experience - great way to experience Hue! Our guide Phuong and driver Hao made our full-day tour a highlight of our trip to Vietnam. Phuong is a knowledgeable and energetic guide who made the whole day joyful. We saw several temples, the Citadel, and experienced a snapshot of local life. Hao is quite funny, has great taste in music, and is a great driver. The CulturePham org is well-run and was able to arrange airport & hotel transport, and were happy to modify our original tour itinerary to accommodate a specific site we wanted to see. We’d highly recommend booking a tour in Hue or Hoi A with CulturePham - and you should specifically request Phuong & Hao!

5.00We had an amazing day with Mr. Dat. I picked this tour as I wanted to visit the Tu Hieu temple where Thich Nhat Hanh spent his childhood as well as his last days and no other tour operator had this on their itinerary. We were 4 ( 2 couples) so we decided to combine the temple and royal city visit into one private tour. Mr. Dat was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of history and traditions with us. He also recommended to us a great little bookshop in Hoi An which we later visited and got some great books in English and had the best salted cream coffee! Mr. Dat also helped us make an order for our vegan lunch which was included in our tour. After lunch we had a leisurely walk around the Imperial City and heard some really interesting stories about the kings and traditions they practiced at the time - hint is to ask about Happy Water :)

5.00This was our favorite part of our Vietnam trip so far! Each stop was better than the last. Our guide Lam shared a ton of information with us about the sites, Vietnam history, and modern living. Lam was so knowledgeable, patient, and gave us plenty of time to see everything. My husband thought our lunch was the best meal he'd had so far. So glad we booked this!

5.00We both really enjoyed it. Mr Hau got us to the destination safely with some good photo opportunities along the way. Ms Phuong was very knowledgeable on the area and gave a personal touch to the tour as well. I'd recommend this tour to anyone coming to Hue.

5.00I had a wonderful trip to Hue. Mr. Trung is a professional and very kind driver—always warm, friendly, and smiling. I truly appreciated how careful he was while driving, which made me feel safe throughout the journey. He even opened the door for me and had water ready, which was such a thoughtful touch. Ms. Le, who assisted me before and after the trip, was incredibly hands-on and patient in answering all my questions. Her support made everything smooth and stress-free. I’m very grateful for the excellent service.

5.00I booked two experiences for my parents’ trip to Hue - a Perfume River Sunset Cruise with dinner, and a Private full-day tour of Hue’s highlights the next day. They were so happy with both experiences! Perfume Sunset River Cruise with dinner: My parents spent a very pleasant time talking with their wonderful guide Ms. Van. They made tapioca prawn and pork dumplings which were cooked and served as part of their meal. Ms. Van was very friendly, had excellent English and was very knowledgeable. The food was absolutely delicious! The only downsides were that there was a bit of exhaust fumes from the traffic during the cyclo ride, and because of the poor weather they didn’t see the sunset. But these things can’t be helped, and in no way impacted how much they enjoyed the evening 🙂 Hue City Private Tour: The following day my parents did this full-day tour. Their guide Ms. Phuong was absolutely delightful and very friendly. Her English was great, and she talked to them not just about the places they visited but also about wider Vietnamese culture and history. Their driver for the day was excellent, too. They loved the Thiem Mu Pagoda, the Imperial City, Minh Mang Tomb and Khai Dinh Tomb. Ms. Phuong told them so much about each place, answered all their questions and knew the best places to take photos! They had another dragon boat ride during this trip, so got to see the Perfume River in daylight too. Ms. Phuong also took them to a craft village to see incense sticks and nón lá hats being made - they were even able to try out making incense sticks themselves. Their coffee break at the Imperial City and lunch in Hue were lovely, and they enjoyed eating typical Hue specialties. When I visit Vietnam in the future, I hope to take these same tours too since my parents enjoyed themselves so much. Thank you so much to Culture Pham Travel for making my parents’ time in Hue so special. They will never forget it! 💚

5.00What a wonderful day. Despite it raining throughout, we were chauffeured from famous citadel to famous tomb by our driver Mr Hau and exceptional guide Mr Tony. He brought all of the incredible history to life for us with his knowledge and enthusiasm. Thoroughly recommended.

5.00The tour was nothing short of perfect. Our tour guide Mrs. Trinh was probably the best guide we have ever had: extremely knowledgeable (but not overwhelming), charismatic and fun. She even helped us solve some problems with Vietnam Airlines talking to their staff, who could speak very little English. Our driver Mr. Lieu was also great, very professional and helpful. Hue is beautiful and the tour took us to the most important king tombs, where we learned a lot about the Nguyen dynasty and the country’s history. The places are really impressive. After lunch in a phenomenal local restaurant, we went to the citadel, where we also had a great time exploring the imperial city and forbidden city.
