This tour was wonderful and informative. Guides Emma and Ann truly helped make our tour memorable and one I will never forget. Not only were they extremely knowledgeable but also kind, helpful, and fun. Lots of laughs. I appreciated the communication throughout, letting us know what to expect for each day. They were great at keeping us on schedule. We saw so many popular Outlander filming locations and a few of Blood of my Blood, too. Nice surprise. The cottages were located in a lovely bucolic setting. I highly recommend this tour. You won't be sorry.

Group did 1st tour with Emma and Anne 3 years ago. All were so impressed, we came back and toured the highlands and Isle of Skye for 4 days. On the way back, we picked up Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. Break on our own in Edinburgh over the weekend and did another 5 day tour picking up Outlander sites we missed last time and they added new Blood of My Blood sites. Plus--Village of Luss and Loch Lomand. Emma and Anne are very accommodating and caring.

We had the absolute pleasure of touring with Emma from Mary’s Meanders, and we truly can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment we met her, Emma’s warmth and hospitality made us feel completely at ease. She guided us on a beautiful hike to my husband’s ancestral home—an incredibly meaningful and unforgettable moment for our family. Along the way, our conversation led to a spontaneous detour, which turned out to be one of the most fun parts of the day! As passionate Outlander fans, visiting the filming locations was a dream come true, and Emma made it even more special. Her insider knowledge and engaging storytelling made us feel like we were walking through the world of Jamie and Claire. Honestly, the only thing missing was the two of them leading the tour themselves! We wholeheartedly recommend Mary’s Meanders—Emma and Anne are phenomenal guides who will add depth, joy, and unforgettable memories to your Scotland trip.

We spent 2 weeks in Scotland meandering around the country and by the end of our trip, we were happy to let Emma, from Mary's Meanders, take the wheel for the final day of our trip. Emma carefully went over each location prior to our trip to make sure we were able to see the iconic sites of Scotland as well as key Outlander filming locations. She gave us the history of all the sites and the areas we drove through and visited. Emma expertly guided us through/to Craigmiller Castle, Glenkinchie Distillery, lunch at a garden center, and Glencorse Kirk. She even found a way to fit in a quick visit to the Harley Davidson dealership to pick up some souvenirs for back home. We would choose Mary's Meander's in a heart beat for our next trip!

My husband and I were on our honeymoon for two weeks in the U.K. Before we left for this trip, I had researched things to do. My birthday would be during the time we were scheduled to be in Scotland and I wanted to do this tour as my present to myself! My husband was not looking forward to doing any tours, however, he humored me. We both thoroughly enjoyed our day with Emma more than any other tours or visits the entire two weeks. We made wonderful memories and just cannot get over how accommodating Emma was. She is so knowledgeable, easy going, flexible, and helpful. I’ve just printed and framed photos we took that day at all the wonderful locations. This was a one in a million adventure.

Our tour started in Edinburgh at the Queensferry Port, from the Regal Princess. Emma picked us up at the ship, and we started our tour. There were just my wife and me on our tour. We were trying to add additional people from the ship, but our failure was now our success. Having this tour now just us, let Emma adjust our tour to fit only our desires. As we had traveled, Emma spoke of what to expect, and included her actual experiences visiting the actual filming of Outlander. We were so fortunate to have Emma’s experiences added to our visiting the many castles. She also had many pictures showing what the courtyards actually looked when filming the episodes. This immersed us into the scenes making us a part of the filming. We could not have asked for a better person to be our guide. Emma even found the time to take us to the Kelpies. What are Kelpies? They are part of Scottish Folklore, dangerous water horses, found lurking near deep lochs or fast rivers. These Kelpies are made of structural steel with a stainless steel cladding, and are 30 meters (98 feet) high. This was a real treat to see them. We will never forget the enthusiasm and graciousness of Emma. She took such good care of us, making sure we saw all we wanted and putting our tour together so well.

Went on the 5 day Immersion Outlander tour! Anne and Emma were excellent guides! Bus drivers Bill and Paul were wonderful drivers and very Friendly. Lots of Outlander iconic places with plenty of time to take pictures. The accommodations at Williams Craig cottages were comfortable and cozy! Loved the atmosphere of a bed and breakfast! Anne and Emma kept to a schedule everyday that allowed us to get to places timely. I would like to recommend that customers wear comfortable walking shoes. There are many castles with stairs and you don't want to miss anything! There are many chances to shop for souvenirs. Every meal was delicious and enertainment was over the top! I truly enjoyed every minute and made friends along the way! Thank You Anne and Emma, Bill and Paul

To Emma, Paul and Anne, I realize that I am extremely late writing this review, for which I apologize dearly. The reason being, after we arrived home, I spent the last 3 weeks RE-WATCHING Outlander! The Classic Outlander tour was so captivating and timeless, that I actually thought I was in the 1700s. We all had the most wonderful time with you both. Although, the best part of the entire day was being able to locate the homestead of our ancestors. You were so accommodating to changing the itinerary in a moment's notice, which we thank you. We look forward to our next trip to Scotland, furthermore our next encounter!

We chose Mary’s Meanders for our tour after many months of debating. Emma was our guide and she made feel like family. We were magically transported back in time and felt as if were part of the Outlander show. I will highly recommend Emma and Mary’s Meanders if you want to truly experience Scotland in a very unique way. Thank you Emma for making our trip so special! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our tour was absolutely incredible, better than anticipated!! We did the one day Outlander tour, which visited Blackness castle, Hopetoun house, Midhope castle, Doune castle and Culross. Our tour guide, Anne, was an absolute delight and was very knowledgeable on not just the history of the sites, but also other Scottish history in general and we learned so much!! If we’re back, I would do it all over again, and will recommend to anyone we know. ☺️
