Cusco Region
We start early morning and drive to Choquequilla, a small Incan ceremonial site. From here a short drive will take us to Rafqa, where we will start to hike and meet our horsemen that will join us during our hike. Then after approximately 1 hour hiking we will get to a small community of Socma. A further 1 hour walk will take us to Perolniyoc waterfall where we will stop for photos and a snack. From here we continue to Qorimarka Incan site to explore for about 30 minutes, then get to the base camp by lunch time.

Cusco Region
After an early breakfast, we start out to the top of the first pass Pukaqasa (4400m). Enjoy the views of the mountains and the valley below. Following lunch, we continue going to reach a small Incan site with amazing views of Veronica Mountain (5850m). Our campsite is at Choquetacarpo (3600m).

Ollantaytambo
Today we get to go downhill. Arriving at Cachicata quarry, we will enjoy the stone carving of the Incas, which unfortunately they could not complete due to the Spanish conquest. Around midday we arrive to Qachiqata village then onto Ollantaytambo town. We take an afternoon train to Aguas Calientes.

Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu
Early start to Machu Picchu, means entering for the best photo opportunities. Following the guided tour, take the time to explore and wander around Machu Picchu by yourself. Make your way back down to Machupicchu Town (Aguas Calientes) for a well-deserved rest and lunch. Finally, get the train to Ollantaytambo and bus back to Cusco.

5.00We passed by waterfalls, small communities, and sacred Inca sites. The views from the highest point,Pucaqasa Pass, were jaw-dropping. Our cook even baked a cake for someone’s birthday at 4,000 meters! Truly special experience.

5.00I loved hiking through remote Andean landscapes and discovering ancient sites like the Sun Gate and the Perolniyoc waterfall. The air was fresh, the mountains were majestic, and we felt deeply connected to nature and history. Finishing in Machu Picchu was the cherry on top!

5.00We learned how the Incas transported stones for Ollantaytambo, and the campsites were in stunning spots. Our chef made amazing meals, even at altitude. We ended with a train ride to Machu Picchu. What a perfect finish!

5.00The trail gave us breathtaking views of snowy peaks and Inca ruins without the big crowds. The climb to the high pass (over 4,400 meters!) was tough but so worth it. The guide shared stories of Inca stonework and local life. A very special experience.
The Inca Quarry Trek is a hidden gem.

5.00It’s not as busy as the classic Inca Trail, but it’s equally — if not more — beautiful. We passed through ancient quarries, saw condors flying overhead, and camped in the middle of stunning nature. The sense of peace was incredible.
