Travel in a heated, winterized Mercedes Sprinter van, relax at our mobile Aurora lodge, enjoy a twilight campfire meal, and sip drinks from our Borealis Brew Bar. Receive unlimited Aurora portraits from our pro photographers, plus night-lapse video and tripod rentals.
We’re the only tour with an Aurora Guarantee: If no Aurora is visible to the eye or camera on a “guaranteed night,” you get a 50% refund or free rebooking.
Disclaimer: A guaranteed night is based on real-time conditions. If any Aurora is visible by eye or camera, the night is considered fulfilled.

What To Expect
Fairbanks
As our home base, Fairbanks is one of the best locations in the world for Northern Lights viewing — located directly under the Aurora Oval. Each night, our SkyChase™ tour departs from Fairbanks and uses the Lights-for-Life™ Formula to determine the optimal location outside the city for clear skies and strong activity.
Murphy Dome
Murphy Dome is one of the highest accessible points in the Fairbanks area and occasionally used on clear-sky nights for its panoramic views and low light pollution. It’s a prime example of the remote high-elevation locations our team accesses while chasing the Aurora.

5.00The tour lasted about five hours, and while we didn’t see the Northern Lights clearly with the naked eye, they did appear on camera. That part was a bit disappointing, as we were hoping for a visible display. That said, the guide genuinely tried by checking conditions, moving locations, and doing what they could given the circumstances. I understand the Northern Lights are unpredictable, and while it didn’t fully meet expectations, I appreciate the effort and transparency from the team. Reindeer sausages were good too.

5.00We had an absolute blast! The staff were very friendly, passionate, and knowledgeable. There were plenty of places to stay warm. The photos turned out amazing. I cannot recommend Aurora in Alaska enough!

5.00Very comfortable aurora tour. My parents were in their 70s and were bit worried about the restroom during the five hour tour. There was a mobile lodge coming with us which made us very comfortable. The staffs were very nice. I lost my phone during the tour, but they looked and found it. They even delivered it to our hotel the next day. Very nice staffs and amazing service!

3.00I was really excited about this tour but it did not meet my expectations. We saw the northern lights and that was great, but I was really disappointed when we received our photos. The person who was taking the photos did not take many. Since the lights were not super active (KP 2) I felt that he should have been snapping constantly until the lights went away. Icing on the cake was that all the pics we were in, he didn't use flash so we look like dark blobs. He took a couple of flash photos, but then I noticed he had us stand in front of the aurora cinnamon swirl that was happening behind us. So, we were blocking the magnificent lights. Total bummer. Hot drinks and snacks were nice. They were friendly and told us interesting info during the tour.

5.00This was a 5 star experience and absolutely beautiful. Our goal was to see the Northern Lights, so we went to the best place for viewing in America, at the best time of year and with the best company. Aurorainak took us in a small group to a quiet location for the best experience. The photos and movie sent from Aurorainak are spectacular. The friendly staff thought of everything, from transport in a warm comfortable vehicle, tips on taking photos and information on the lights, to a campfire and cabin to warm up between viewings in the -10° F night - all at a great price. The lights danced in the sky and this was the experience of a lifetime.
