Travel in a heated, winterized Mercedes Sprinter van, relax at our mobile Aurora lodge, enjoy a twilight campfire meal, and sip drinks from our Borealis Brew Bar. Receive unlimited Aurora portraits from our pro photographers, plus night-lapse video and tripod rentals.
We’re the only tour with an Aurora Guarantee: If no Aurora is visible to the eye or camera on a “guaranteed night,” you get a 50% refund or free rebooking.
Disclaimer: A guaranteed night is based on real-time conditions. If any Aurora is visible by eye or camera, the night is considered fulfilled.

Fairbanks
As our home base, Fairbanks is one of the best locations in the world for Northern Lights viewing — located directly under the Aurora Oval. Each night, our SkyChase™ tour departs from Fairbanks and uses the Lights-for-Life™ Formula to determine the optimal location outside the city for clear skies and strong activity.
Murphy Dome
Murphy Dome is one of the highest accessible points in the Fairbanks area and occasionally used on clear-sky nights for its panoramic views and low light pollution. It’s a prime example of the remote high-elevation locations our team accesses while chasing the Aurora.

5.00We had an unforgettable aurora trip with Skychase. Our guide, Hunter is punctual, kind and made sure we had what we needed throughout the entire trip! The van that we rode is very comfortable, keeping us warm the entire night. The crews are also very welcoming, organized and took great photos of us! Most importantly, having reindeer sausages was one of the highlights!

5.00The team at Aurora in Alaska were great from booking to our drop off back at the hotel. Their communication the day before and day of were appreciated. With - 6 F temps, always good to know what to expect. Our guide, Tony, was amazing sharing stories of his 20+ years in Alaska. The stop at the Alaska pipeline was unexpected but an amazing quick detour on the way to Base Camp. From the firepits to the warming trailer, to the endless warm beverages (cider, hot chocolate, tea, coffee), the team thought of everything to make the experience comfortable. The excitement when the lights began was palpable. Really, how can you really get used to those views? I would recommend this tour to anyone and would repeat it in heartbeat on a future visit.

5.00These guys are experts!! They took us to a great place for viewing the Northern lights near Birch Lake. They took professional photos, and provided several heated areas to hang out to warm up when it got too cold. We would not have been able to see the Northern lights as vividly or at all without this tour. We tried. We highly recommend this tour!!! I also wanted to say that we had a lot of trouble making it to our tour due to mechanical issues with our first airplane, leading us to be re-routed through Portland and Anchorage. Nicole was absolutely wonderful about working with us to help us join the tour. It also happened to be the best viewing during our entire stay. We are very thankful. This tour was wonderful and the guides are nice people.

5.00Wonderful team! So knowledgeable and friendly and made sure we saw the lights and got the best pictures. You need to do this one at least once in your Alaska trip. Great reindeer sausages and great heated cabin to warm up in between photos.

5.00Overall beautiful Aurora experience with clear skies during our tour and dancing of the Aurora. Price a bit on the higher side but they give food and drinks with mobile lodge and camp fires as promised. Also they have multiple photographers taking photos from different angles and positions. We also had a nice experience with the pick up and drop off. The only hassle for us was one of the photographer missed uploading the photos in the shared link and we had to communicate to and fro multiple times to get the missed photos uploaded.

5.00Our guide Andrew picked us up at the hotel around 10:00 pm. On the way to the site he talked about Alaska, the wildlife, and a number of facts that were fun to learn. We stopped on the way to the camp site and saw the Northern Lights. Once we got to the site there was a mobile lodge with hot coffee and sausages to eat. Around 12:30 am we saw a tremendous amount of activity as the sky lit up. Andrew drove us back around 2:30 am. This was an activity that everyone needs to do. Aurora in Alaska guides helped make this an outstanding excursion.

5.00The guides are excellent - knowledgeable about the aurora phenomenon, highly skilled photographers, and very customer-oriented. They share their photos with you, so you can concentrate on enjoying the moment. The tour will stop at a point of interest along the way. Pickup and drop-off were smooth. The heated trailer, sausages, and snacks round out the experience. Highly recommended.

5.00Wow, the BEST!! Our guide, Andrew, knew how to find the lights and took us to three different spots where we saw the magical lights! He and the team were the most professional of all the tours we took while in Fairbanks. At the first stop they took our photos with the lights behind us, had a warming trailer, and outdoor fires. The guides talked to each other with walkie talkies about what they were seeing and moved us onto a second even better view! Finally, on the way home, Andrew spotted the conditions were right in a third spot so we stopped agian for more lights! This was a bucket list item and the team excelled!
