  I would like to start by saying that my negative experience was not with the tour guide, but with the company managing the trip. Considering I spent approximately $1,500 USD for four people, I expected a much smoother and more transparent experience. Below are the key issues with this booking: 1) Too many layers of contractors There appear to be multiple layers of contractors and subcontractors involved. The main company collects the payment, but the actual operations are managed through several intermediaries, with the core team located outside the U.S. and Europe. As a result, whenever an issue arises, the tour guide has to go through multiple layers before reaching someone who can make a decision. This creates unnecessary delays and frustration for customers. 2) Hidden fees and unclear pricing structure Unlike typical bookings on Tripadvisor, where payment covers the agreed service, this experience involved unexpected and unclear additional charges. At the start of the trip, we were informed that if the duration exceeded 10 hours, we would be charged 100 Swiss Francs per additional hour. As a customer, I have no control over itinerary timing, traffic, or operational delays (such as fuel stops or restroom breaks). Managing trip duration should be the company’s responsibility—not something the customer has to monitor throughout the day. This turned what should have been a relaxing experience into a stressful one. 3) Poor coordination for pre-booked attractions (Glacier 3000) Our itinerary included tickets to Glacier 3000. However, upon arrival around noon, the tour guide did not have the tickets ready. Both the guide and I had to contact the company (including via WhatsApp), and it took nearly an hour to resolve the issue and receive the tickets. In a follow-up message, the company claimed they could not book tickets in advance because I had not provided the names and dates of birth of my party. However, this information was never requested during the booking process, and they were unable to provide any proof that such a request had been made. This reflects a clear breakdown in communication and planning. Final Thoughts While our tour guide was excellent and went above and beyond to help us, the overall experience was negatively impacted by poor coordination, lack of transparency, and avoidable stress caused by the company’s processes. If you are looking for a smooth and stress-free experience, I would strongly recommend booking with a different provider.
