Piula Cave Pool
Piula Cave Pool on Upolu Island, Samoa, is a beautiful crystal clear freshwater spring that originated from an old lava tube.
To Sua Ocean Trench
To-Sua literally means 'giant swimming hole', 30 metres deep and accessible via a long ladder where a long platform sits for easy access in the pool. Inside is a cave that leads to the open sea and is recommended for skilled divers. It is surrounded by beautiful native gardens and a spectacular view ideal for weddings, photoshoots and more. Overlooking the ocean is a small beach known as Fagaoneone meaning white sand, while opposite you can find a lava field with blowholes, mini pools and good fishing spots. If you're visiting during mid-September to November you may even be lucky enough to see a few whales coasting by. This is an absolute must-see place to visit while on holiday in Samoa.

As we got off the ship they were very easy to find as they previously sent photos. The tour was very informative and enough time spent at each stop. Would highly recommend them!!!

Great tour ! Has really been one of our favorites . Locals who take you to wonderful spots around the whole island ! Be sure to swim the in cave pond . Water was cool , deeper than it looks , so clear . The trench is def an experience , there is a current there since fresh salt water so be aware . It is quit a climb in and out . The whole area has other things to see too . The beach was a wonderful stop too . Our group was earlier to the shuttle so we were able to stop at Cathedral and a couple other spots So don’t wait get there when your ship docks .

We are on a 42 day cruise and this tour has got to be our favorite so far! Jeanette's knowledge of Samoa as we traveled to our adventures was super interesting. The stops were a blast. Swimming in the refreshing spring water of Piula Cave was amazing. Then we got to descend the hefty built ladder down to the ocean trench. A bucket list item, for sure. Then we ate at a marvelous restaurant where they caught our fresh yellow fin tuna that morning. While cooking up our lunch, I got to swim in the beautiful ocean right off the restaurant deck. Next we stopped at an amazing waterfall plunging deep into the lush valley around us. Jeanette took care of our every need, even surprising us with her favorite cinnamon rolls from the local bakery. We couldn't have found a better tour. And no worries...you will get back to the ship with plenty of spare time!

We are a group of 7 friends cruising on the Sapphire Princess. We were seated in a 9 passenger van with a couple from Germany. Janette was our tour guide, we also had the pleasure of meeting her husband Shawn, who was the guide of the other van. (Shawn and Janette are the owners of Surf and Turf Tours). The vans were very nice and comfortable. I had the pleasure of sitting in the passenger seat with Janette as our guide (It was like spending time with a favorite cousin on a road trip) Janette was a great driver and a wonderful tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about Samoa and the people and culture. The stops were absolutely beautiful. We stopped for lunch at a restaurant on gorgeous Tulfua beach. The food was amazing. Most of us ordered the fish and chips, which Janette recommended. We drove by the home and museum of Robert Loius Stevenson and drove thru the town of Apia as we have a little extra time, before Janette returned us safely to our ship. We all agreed on what a wonderful excursion we had with Samoa Surf and Turf. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We highly recommend this tour. We were able to experience major highlights including the Sua Trench, a beautiful beach and more. We had ample time at each stop. We learned about the history, culture and land as we rode in the comfortable van around this lush island. Top rate!

Samoa Surf & Turf Tours is an outstanding option to experience Samoa while in port on a cruise ship. There is no worry that they will get you back to the cruise ship on time, before last call. And upon booking your tour, Shawn & Janette are easily available to answer your questions. And they communicate where & when pickup is before arriving in Samoa. Now, for the tour itself. Their knowledge of the island is shared throughout the tour. The small group atmosphere allows you to spends quality time at each of the locations. We were fortunate & the weather cooperated for each of our stops. A big thank you to Janette for such a memorable day. The island, you call home, is so beautiful and begs to be explored.

This is the type of tour company travelers like to support—locally owned and operated. Tour guide/owner Jeannette is knowledgeable, personable and enjoyable to listen to. She provided relevant and entertaining commentary throughout the ride Stops were beautiful and fun. Van had great air conditioning and comfortable seats.

It was a very wonderful day. Couldn't have asked for better weather and the two guides were outstanding. The only downside was one gal who seemed to complain about everything, but you know there's always one of those on these tours.
