Murdeira is geographically located at the centre of the island. It´s Bay is bathed with crystal waters and filled with corals, enabling marvelous conditions for the practice of snorkeling. Apart from the mention above, you can easily see “Monte Leão” from there, one of the greatest marks of the island.

3.00We nicked named the tour “But not Today Tour” Do not go on this tour when there is sea fog covering the island. Our tour guide was excellent but he finished his statements with “but not today” as you couldn't see anything. The mountains “but not today” the blue eye “ but not today” The view of the salt flats “ but not today” My pizza at lunch was not cooked properly, they can normally cook pizza “ but not today “ I'm sure the tour is normally outstanding “ BUT NOT TODAY”

5.00This was a great full day tour with 6 of us in a pick up truck. Useful information from the guide. As much time as we wanted at each stop. During the day visited all the main sites on Sal Island. Also excellent value for money.

5.00So, lets be honest - Sal is a pretty featureless, small volcanic Island in the middle of the Atlantic. If - in the words of John Cleese - you are expecting to see the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Herds of Wildebeest roaming majestically across the Plain or Krakatoa erupting - then you will be very disappointed. Some of the sites are not at the level that can be seen elsewhere in the world although having baby sharks swimming around your legs or getting the chance to swim in salt lakes is pretty awesome. But this trip does give you the chance to see the real Island, away from the holiday complexes, and to speak with real islanders - to learn about their real lives. The tour guides (Thoms and Ishmael) were fantastic - open, informative and entertaining - happy to talk about much more than the tour sights. So we left the tour (a full day at a very reasonable cost) knowing so much more about the Island and far more interestingly, the challenges of real Island life. That is an experience that is worth 5 stars and more!

5.00We chose this tour to get a compressed view of the island. We were picked up at the scheduled time outside the hotel and after everyone was in place, we left, first to salt production on our way to the kite beach, where our eminent driver / tour guide Carlos also showed his arts on the balance line. We stood over the zip line and went on to the next stop, at the pirate skate with rocks and great views of Lions Mountain. Carlos was knowledgeable and since we sat in the car, we got extra back on our conversations. We went on to air mirroring before going to Espargos and then to the fishing village of Palmeira where we saw fishermen working and had lunch. We were able to see the Blue Eye cave, see lemon sharks as we dive in the water in Shark Bay before going to Pedra Da Lume to swim in the saltwater pools. Then we were safely transported home. This is a trip we can recommend, compressed but interesting. The guides - we were two cars - were very nice and good, drove very carefully for those who sat behind, and we were very happy with the arrangement.

5.00Excellent, being so close to the sharks is a very nice feeling, seeing them pass by our legs. If you do not bring appropriate shoes, you can rent there for 3€

5.00A great day and brilliant way to see most of the attractions Sal has to offer. Pick-up was at the hotel and our guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the island. A photographer tagged along with us and his photo were amazing. You do need to pay extra for them but there is absolutely no pressure to buy whatsoever. Lunch venue was superb and not a place you would easily find otherwise. Exceptional vale for money do don’t book with more expensive providers and go for this one! One word of caution….. it can get extremely dusty on the bac of the pick up so take old clothes or choose to sit inside.
