• Peri is a Turkish Delight!

  I picked this tour for a group of 8 of us and we had the pleasure of exploring Istanbul's old city with Peri. She was exceptional from the moment she and the driver arrived to pick us up in an air conditioned Sprinter van at our hotel. From touring the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and everything in between Peri provided context, knowledge, and a motherly nurture that enhanced our experience. We learned, we laughed, and we looked. We looked at many sights and and sounds of where the Sultans lived and what was once the epicenter of Ottoman Empire. We dined at a Turkish restaurant called Galeyan that was a lovely experience and appetizing. The food was delicious and our group enjoyed it. The Grand Bazaar was intense. There is an overstimulation of shops, cigarette smoke, and sounds. No matter how disciplined I thought that I would be, I ended up buying a lot of tea. More tea than I'll ever need, but it was for the overall experience. I thank Peri on behalf of my group and as a travel advisor I feel more than comfortable referring clients to her and Ayhan Akkikic the tour operator. He was first class in communication and you can now add me to the chorus of 5 star reviews.

  Our guide (Kenan) was terrific! We enjoyed learning about Istanbul from him. He was extremely knowledgeable, did a great job helping us to learn some basic Turkish words, and made various aspects of the city come alive for us. Touring with Kenan was the perfect way to start our trip!

  Private tour customized to what you want to see/interested in. My guide was super knowledgeable and was so kind. I experienced everything the city Square had to offer. Istanbul was so rich and full of culture.

  What an unforgettable day! Our guide Perry quickly became a family member as she took me and my 12yo through the major sights of Istanbul. You don’t appreciate the majesty and influence of the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires until you see these places for yourself. Perry shared marvelous stories from history, current events, and what life is like for a local. If I had to suggest any tweak, it might be to try for a half day, because we were pretty exhausted by the time we made it to the Grand Bazaar.
