This class totally surpassed our expectations! From the excellent directions on how to find the location to the warm welcome and some refreshments from Yuki, we were off to a great start! Yuki started off with a bit of history around katsu and then explained all the different steps. She is terrific fun, speaks excellent English and kept the whole family busy making the different components of this dish which happens to be my husband’s favourite! Throughout the class Yuki explained about the set up of Japanese kitchens, buying produce, special kitchen tools, etc— loads of helpful tips. Everything is immaculate and super well organised — in no time we were sitting down to a delicious meal we had made! Could not recommend this class more highly!

I had a wonderful time cooking katsu curry with Yuki, she is a great teacher and speaks english very well. She is also just such a nice person. She told me a lot about Japanese customs and gave tips on where to go. The curry was absolutely delicious and I feel confident to be able to make it at home. It was adjusted to my preferences (pescetarian). Thank you so much Yuki!

This was the best cooking class! Yuki was so incredible as my teacher. Explained everything, shared her secret recipes, was so thorough, and just as important, very clean! I can’t recommend this experience enough for anyone visiting Tokyo!

I was a bit nervous about appearing to be in a residential area. But I was surprised to discover this wonderful home studio and an amazingly comforting host. The experience was well structured using modern and clever tools and had lots of hand outs and instructions and as I say, the host was very kind. If you had any concerns you shouldn’t, this is very good value teaching you Japanese culture and cuisine in a real and relevant environment.
