I did the ice climbing wall experience and had such a great time! My instructor was super knowledgeable and encouraging. I wish I had longer in Jasper so that I could have done a full day experience!! Would highly recommend this if you’re looking to try something new… the wall is very impressively built and really mimics a real glacier!

This was an amazing experience. Maarten was an excellent guide and instructor, he was patient and encouraging with me. I ended up being the only one on this tour which was definitely intimidating initially but that very quickly dissipated with Maarten's friendly disposition. Highly recommend this to anyone heading to Jasper.

We recently tried Rockaboo Adventures’ brand new ice climbing experience in downtown Jasper, and it was absolutely incredible! My two kids, ages 8 and 10, participated, and they had the time of their lives. It’s such a fun and accessible activity, right in the heart of Jasper, making it perfect for families or anyone new to ice climbing. We were thrilled to get to try this right downtown! Luis, their guide and instructor, is simply phenomenal. His passion for what he does shines through, and his ability to teach and encourage kids (and adults!) is unmatched. He created such a supportive and exciting environment that my kids couldn’t stop talking about it afterward. We’re beyond impressed with this unique experience and thrilled to see something so innovative available in Jasper. If you’re visiting in 2025, don’t miss out—this is a must-try for adventurers of all ages!

As an experienced ice climber who doesn't get out that often these day, I've done this climbing group tour with RMA before to keep up my skills, run laps on top-rope, and just have fun with others, and it's always a professionally guided experience. They provide all the gear (but you can use your own if you have it), transportation, and their ACMG certified guides set everything up and perform all the necessary safety checks. On this outing, I turned out to be the only participant, and while it would have been completely fair of them to cancel the tour, it went ahead anyway, so I had a private climbing guide for the group cost for the day, which was great. The guide was very knowledgeable about ice conditions at the various climbing locations, and we opted for the best available spot given the deteriorating spring ice climbing conditions. The guide provided belays all day, safety checks, tips to improve my climbing techniques, good conversation, and managed to take several photos of me climbing along the way. All in all, the usual great experience with Rockaboo.

Incredible experience with Maarten. We climbed at “the end of the world” and had a great time. Maarten ensured the whole activity was safe and everyone was properly equipped. Thanks again for a great day!

Went ice climbing with Martin in Maligne canyon. we would have loved to ice climb in tangle creek falls but considering weather on the day, Maligne canyon was the best option Martin seemed knowledgeable about Jasper area and loves his job. We were a group of 3 friends and one other person joined ,Martin went through all the safety points and was patient and attentive to all four of us. It was -20+ with wind chill on the day and he made sure we were warm, offered us mittens and jackets to keep us warm. Highly recommend Rockaboo and Martin . Hope I can make it to glacier hike with same team during summer/fall

Absolutely sensational experience with these guys. They are experts in what they do but still had patience and humour for beginners- a joy to experience climbing up a frozen waterfall. Brilliant!

This was truly an awesome experience knowing that it’s an ice cap that you’re on. Just wear the proper footwear and you’re good to go!
