I would like to share the colors, tastes and flavors of the traditional Korean cuisine. Korean traditional cooking methods are based on the culture of using spoons and chopsticks, unlike the Western forks and knives. Therefore, while making Korean food to eat with chopsticks, we will also talk about Korean culture. Reservations are available for 2 or more people. If you have little experience in cooking, don't worry. Our professional chef will help you cook step by step and teach you the secrets to creating the taste of Korean food using ingredients that are easily repeated in your place. Everybody will learn the basic recipes and seasonings of Korean cuisine while making Bulgogi (stir-fried marinated beef), Japchae (a dish made with pork and glass noodles), and Geotjeoli (Korean vegetable salad). We will cook one dessert and three main dishes. After cooking, we will sit at the dinner table ( especially nicely set up in traditional Korean style ) to enjoy the food that we made, with the beautiful sunset from the ocean. You'll have the option of either Korean rice wine, Mageoli or Korean mulberry wine, Bokbunza to accompany the meal. Non-alcoholic options will also be available.

Had a fantastic experience learning how to make delicious Korean food! Apart from being in a beautiful location, overlooking the ocean, Sue takes you through the steps of multiple dishes with ease. Very useful to be able to take the recipes to recreate at home as well. They are able to accomodate vegetarians as well, just let them know. Highly recommended!

One of the highlights of our time in Jeju Island was this Korean cooking class. We made Bulgogi, Chapchae, and Fresh Vegetable Kimchi Salad. Sue is an amazing instructor. She and her husband had everything ready for us, and we ate the meal we prepared in the calm and relaxing dining area facing the ocean. If you are near Seogwipo, this is a very fun and rewarding experience. You also get printed recipes so that you can cook the dishes at home! the recipes use ingredients that are readily available in most supermarkets so you can definitely cook the dishes on your own. The recipes are so flavorful you will want to cook them over and over again. Sue and her husband also run the Jeju Doldam B&B, where the class takes place. It also has excellent reviews online.

This is a great experience. Sue is an awesome teacher. She focused on having easy to follow recipes where the the ingredients are readily available in most grocery stores so you will be able to cook these tasty dishes again and again at home. We made Bulgogi, Chapchae, and Fresh Vegetable Kimchi Salad. Sue is very organized and had everything ready for us which made the experience really enjoyable. What we ate was so delicious. This cooking class is very accessible to varied skill levels. The class happens at the Jeju Doldam B&B which is run by Sue and her husband. Cute place that we would like to stay in when in Jeju.

Having a cooking one on one session with my family was truly an amazing experience. Getting to know our hosts and chef was a true pleasure as they were some of the most friendly hosts we had during our time in South Korea. They introduced us to the Jeju history and educated us on the dishes we were preparing. We enjoyed all 4 dishes and the two different types of beverages served and were given all the recipes and ingredient lists. Cannot emphasize enough how wonderful everyone was and what a beautiful Bed and Breakfast they are running.
