This is not specifically about Vincentia, which is nice too, but I just want to mention Bendalong's Boat Harbour Beach, where got up-close and personal with stingrays, amazing experience, strongly recommended! Apparently Woollamia Boat Ramp is also a hotspot for stingrays, but we were unlucky on the day, there were too many boats that scared the rays away.

Lovely spot with open skies in a relaxed setting for us to talk about all things astronomical. We saw planets (usually rare), satellites, a shooting star, and learnt about constellations and galaxies. Thank you Caroline and Dmitri for the experience!

Dimitri’s expertise is incredible. This is the first time we were able to see the rings of Saturn and Jupiter’s moons. He was able to answer question precisely then expanded on the question. We plan to book this experience again for the winter skies

We thoroughly enjoyed the star gazing night in Jervis Bay. It was a very windy night, so they moved the location to an alternative beach nearby where we were completely protected from the wind. The skies are surprisingly dark in Jervis Bay, so it was an excellent location for it. The evening was very relaxed and Dimitri was a wonderful, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun guide. He allowed questions from the group to shape the conversation and was open to discuss anything from very basic to enthusiast level. He also told stories and gave facts about the planets and stars we were viewing. Everyone was able to look through the telescope at various subjects and the 90 minutes flew by. I would highly recommend.

We had a fabulous time at our stargazing tour. We joined some couples and families to learn a lot about the night sky. Dimitri has a wealth of knowledge and passion and made sure everyone felt included. The evening started off cloudy and we thought it may not go ahead but Caroline and Dimitri communicated very well with us and made sure we still got to have a great stargazing experience. Well worth it.

Excellent experience. Our 3 young children enjoyed it thoroughly. Seeing Saturn through the telescope was next level incredible. To top things off, the bioluminescence in the waves started to appear as we wrapped things up!

I can highly recommend stargazing with Dimitry. He is so passionate and knowledgeable and brings the sky to life with information and stories. The Milky Way and constellations were magnificent in the clear sky and the superb telescopes allowed a view of Saturn and its moon Titan. We even saw a shooting star, also bioluminescence in the sea! Thank you Dimitry and Caroline. I will book again next time I’m in Jervis Bay.

Had a great experience learning and looking at the stars and planets with Dimitri and Caroline. It was very informative with a bit of humour added in. It was really interesting to see the moon, stars and planets through the telescope. Would definitely recommend it.

My husband and 8 year old son enjoyed an amazing evening with Caroline and Dimitri. We could have easily spent many hours looking at the stars with Dimitri to guide us and answer all of our questions. Quite a mind blowing and beautiful experience. Great use of the laser pointer to allow us to see the various constellations and looking through the telescope was fabulous. We went on a full moon night so I would love to do this again on a dark night to see the stars in all their glory. Thanks for a great night!

This uplifting cosmic adventure had a profound impact on our multi-generational family group. We were lucky enough to secure a last minute private stargazing experience on a mostly clear night when the spectacular Milky Way arced majestically across the sky. Host Caroline is charming and Astrophysicist Dimitri, armed with his telescope and laser pointer, is engaging and knowledgeable. He was able to respond to our varying interests and taught us to confidently identify the Southern Cross, see globular clusters with the telescope and note the distinctive black parts of our home galaxy. As well as opening our eyes to the wonders of the stars, he opened our minds to cultural astronomy - a timely reminder of our humanity. Not cheap, but priceless.
