Perfect night out for all ages, date nights, families, groups and locals, this unforgettable tour features Australia’s spectacular night sky away from the city lights. A wonderful opportunity to experience the Southern Sky and its celestial wonders only visible from the Southern hemisphere. The Jervis Bay's skies are very dark.
Jervis Bay Stargazing (sister of Blue Mountains Stargazing) has proudly won the 2022 and 2023 Bronze awards at NSW Tourism Awards.
A unique experience starting with naked-eye astronomy on Nelsons beach with wave sounds. An opportunity to check if we can see any bioluminescence (glowing waters!) in the sea!
The guide, Dimitri is an Astrophysicist PhD with 10+ years experience including Sydney Observatory, Mt John Observatory, the world-renowned astronomical observatory in Lake Tekapo (New Zealand) and Emirates One & Only Wolgan Valley. He is also a TEDx speaker and a cultural astronomer.

What To Expect
Join us on a fascinating cosmic journey in the dark skies of Jervis Bay with an Astronomer. This out-of-this-world experience features Australia’s most clearest sky away from the city lights. We'll start with a laser-guided naked-eye astronomy session led by our passionate Stargazing Guide with sensational ocean sunset views and wave sound on the beach, including tips and hacks on how to identify stars and constellations, navigations tips alongside constellation storytelling. We will then observe through the state-of-the -art telescope celestial objects such as (depending on the time of year and night): - The Moon - Planets - The Orion Nebula - Star clusters - Deep sky objects - the Milky Way We will end the tour with a Q&A with an Astronomer. Look up for shooting stars! Weather conditions: In the event of overcast skies, we will email a cancellation notification at 3 pm on the day of the tour and will offer the opportunity to reschedule with a credit valid for 3 years in Jervis Bay and the Blue Mountains, the validity can be extended and it is transferable to other people as a gift card; or to receive a refund (5% non-refundable merchant and service fees).

5.00The experience was really worth it. The communication with the team was super smooth, the spot for stargazing well defined and nicely set up with chairs and blakets. We even got to see some luminescents planktons during the experience. It's amazing to see the water illuminate with flashy turquoise blue. Dimitri and Caroline are tremendous hosts, they address all the questions and make you feel very welcome. I could have stayed another two hours listening to all the stories and knowledge. Thank you again to the both of you, you've created an amazing bubble of an experience for people, keep going ! It is one of a kind thing to do in one's life to stargaze, even more so with experts in the field guiding you through it. PS: I loved the Star wars like laser to point at all the objects in the sky :)

5.00Well an unusual review, it was cloudy so it was cancelled which is cool for a thing in nature. But from when I thought I might cancel (I didn’t but was looking at pulling out) these guys were friendly and easy going, happy to do literally anything to help me out. When it was cloudy they let me know really early, offered alternatives and were just really nice .aaanyway. Rebooking now, cheers

5.00This is not specifically about Vincentia, which is nice too, but I just want to mention Bendalong's Boat Harbour Beach, where got up-close and personal with stingrays, amazing experience, strongly recommended! Apparently Woollamia Boat Ramp is also a hotspot for stingrays, but we were unlucky on the day, there were too many boats that scared the rays away.

4.00Unique experience - got us out of the house on a lovely warm evening. Saw as much as we could before it clouded over. Got vouchers to do this again as they had to cut it short. Very knowledgeable guide - comfy chairs and blankets - would definitely recommend. Would give 5 stars if not cloudy.

5.00Dimitri’s expertise is incredible. This is the first time we were able to see the rings of Saturn and Jupiter’s moons. He was able to answer question precisely then expanded on the question. We plan to book this experience again for the winter skies

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed the star gazing night in Jervis Bay. It was a very windy night, so they moved the location to an alternative beach nearby where we were completely protected from the wind. The skies are surprisingly dark in Jervis Bay, so it was an excellent location for it. The evening was very relaxed and Dimitri was a wonderful, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun guide. He allowed questions from the group to shape the conversation and was open to discuss anything from very basic to enthusiast level. He also told stories and gave facts about the planets and stars we were viewing. Everyone was able to look through the telescope at various subjects and the 90 minutes flew by. I would highly recommend.
When you love the nature and the stars, it is a good experience.

4.00We were requested to shift our booking to the 9:30 pm session. We agreed to do it. It was a small group which was good and the guests had chances to ask the questions to Tom. Tom was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the session. We were hoping that we would be provided with a blanket as we were sitting on the beach at a cold night. The mats were provided to us though.

5.00We had a fabulous time at our stargazing tour. We joined some couples and families to learn a lot about the night sky. Dimitri has a wealth of knowledge and passion and made sure everyone felt included. The evening started off cloudy and we thought it may not go ahead but Caroline and Dimitri communicated very well with us and made sure we still got to have a great stargazing experience. Well worth it.

5.00Excellent experience. Our 3 young children enjoyed it thoroughly. Seeing Saturn through the telescope was next level incredible. To top things off, the bioluminescence in the waves started to appear as we wrapped things up!
