Our tour was wonderful! We went in the evening and it was already dark out. The lights and streets were beautiful. We met Jiri in a very central east to find space. He was very knowledgeable and told us some great stories and pointed out many interesting things we did not notice or know about. There were only three of us on the tour so there was much opportunity for conversation and questions. I would highly recommend Jiri.

Jiri provided a great tour of the Jewish quarter. Not only did he point out a few off-the-beaten-path spots, but he also shared so much rich history from interviews that he has conducted. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Prague.

Our tour with Jiri was fantastic!! We felt that we got a truly special experience with him, as he has such a rich background in Jewish history. He not only brings great energy, but also personal experiences that make this tour more unique than others offered in Prague. Definitely book!

Jiri is a unique guide for a number of reasons. He is intelligent, knowledgeable and most important, the relevant passion of a young Czech local who our Group chose for these unique values. As the son of a Jewish Czech Father and with my son who Jiri reminds me of, his tours of Prague and Terezin from both the Cold War aspect of which his Father was part of as a Student leader to the Holocaust survivors that he has interviewed globally, to eating, travelling and communicating with Jiri during our trip and in spite of being with a Group of c. 20 other wonderful travellers, felt very personal and no questions any of us had, Jiri left none unanswered. The greatest compliment I can give Jiri is that he is the only guide amongst many we have met through Tripadvisor that I would personally host in my own home and when my family return to Czechia we would have no hesitation to request his time again for his unique values as a guide to further our knowledge through Jiri's local knowledge. In conclusion apart from being special in his extensive local knowledge, Jiri is a lovely uplifting gentleman to have the pleasure of his company. And of course Jiri is well worth the small amount he charges for his abundant local knowledge.

A fantastic 3 hour group tour of the well-known synagogues and museums and the not so well-known ‘hidden’ memorials and art works..Jiří is a knowledgeable and accomplished historian and a very personable guide who combines the right amount of historical fact interwoven with personal and interesting anecdotes.

Jiří is an extremely knowledgeable and interpersonal guide. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time together learning about the history and culture of Jews in Prague through time up to today. Our tour together flew by as we walked, talked, listened, took photos, and absorbed the beautiful stories of the city, its people, the architecture and contributions of Jewish Prague. We highly recommend Jiří’s tour!

Jiri was a fantastic guide - we highly recommend this tour. He's extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his home and its history as an academic researching Prague's jewish history. He's also a lovely guy - he took time to chat and get to know us all and connected with everyone in my family. A great way to get under the surface of the city and see some hidden spots away from the crowds.

We are from Brazil and when we were in Prague in May 2025, we took the Jewish tour provided by historian and guide Jiri. It was the highlight of our trip, exceeding all our expectations. Jiri has a lot of historical knowledge and is a master guide. He took us to several hidden places in the city of Prague that we would never have known existed. I won't give any spoilers, but at the end of the tour my wife and I were very emotional. If you want to take a top-quality tour, I highly recommend Local Historian tours with historian and guide Jiri.
