3.00I did enjoy the tour overall, especially the trip to Soweto. I don’t recommend the Johannesburg section (apart from the visit to Mandela’s house) - Joburg is an awful place. My guide was very friendly and clearly loved his city but his commentary was too intense. Please appreciate that you do not need to be talking for the entire tour… Also, please be advised that you’ll be asked for tips at various points: 1) your guide (understandable) 2) a separate Soweto guide 3) when you enter a house in Soweto 4) when you are taken to tables to buy stuff after the Soweto tour 5) guide in Mandela’s house I appreciate that these people need money… but it would be a more pleasant experience if all tips were looked after within the price of the tour
