Qusayr Amra Built in the 8th century by the Umayyads, Qusayr Amra is one of Jordan’s most remarkable desert castles. Originally designed as both a fortress and a residence, it soon gained fame as a pleasure palace where the Umayyad elite hosted lavish gatherings. The complex also features a well-preserved hammam (bathhouse), showcasing the sophistication of early Islamic architecture and leisure culture. Qasr Hraneh

Located about 60 kilometers east of Amman, near the Saudi border, Qasr Kharana stands as a striking symbol of early Islamic architecture. Built in the 8th century, its purpose remains a subject of debate—some believe it served as a caravanserai or meeting place for Bedouin tribes, while others see it as a fortress or retreat. Very professional organization that responded quickly to a last minute reservation inquiry and timely on all confirmations. I was fortunate to have Eyad as my driver who is very friendly, patient, and safe. Transportation was roomy and comfortable for the drives. The three castles themselves are very different and it wasn’t necessary to hire a guide since the Lonely Planet guidebook provided ample information and descriptions. Tour lasts about 4-5 hours depending on traffic.

Excellent! Her tour of the desert castles with our driver Ibrahim was excellent, and we couldn't be happier. Because he is a professional driver, his driving is flawless, and the car he drives is spacious and of the highest caliber. You feel safe with him! He is very easy to communicate because he speaks excellent English, and he is also very kind and friendly. If it becomes your driver, you're so fortunate! You heartily recommend it because we had a great time on this tour.

We arrived in Jordan for the weekend and decided to visit a number of desert palaces located near the city of Azraq and we contacted Emad who gave us a special offer for several days including visit Desert palaces and on the way back to visit the center of the country and the mosque of King Abdullah, and the next day visit Um Qais, Bella, Ajloun and Jarash the day after the visit of Citadel, the Roman amphitheater, Mount Nebo, the churches of Madaba City, overnight in the Dead Sea and the last day of departure to Queen Alia International Airport. Frankly, I have not seen a person with honesty, good manners and hospitality. Highly recommended. Abdulaziz from Saudi Arabia
