Manavi
Our route goes toward eastern side of the country, to the region that has a lot to offer. After a hour drive through the kakhetian villages, vineyards, valleys and mountains we reach our first destination, Manavi fortress that is overlooking vineyards and offering amazing views of the fertile valleys. Manavi fortress is an ideal place for introducing Georgian viticulture history.
Vellino Wine Cellar
After exploring the fortress, it’s time to immerse yourself in an authentic Georgian wine experience. In a charming, family-run cellar. Here, a young, passionate winemaker welcomes you with open arms, ready to share the magic that has been passed down for generations. The winemaker will personally guide you through his vineyard and wine cellar, sharing the secrets of Georgia’s ancient winemaking traditions. Following this enriching tour, you’ll enter an ancestral wine cellar, where ancient Georgian techniques bring wine to life. Savor three exquisite wines, each telling the story of the land, the people, and the love that goes into each bottle. To complete the experience, a shot of fiery chacha will awaken your senses, while local snacks enhance the flavors of each sip, leaving you with a true taste of Georgia’s rich heritage.

Booked this private tour for my husband’s birthday. Giga was our tour guide. We don’t drink much but wanted to get a taste of Georgian wine. The home winery had a cosy fireplace. The lady of the house cooked up a big, lovely feast for the three of us and even prepared a surprise cake for my husband. They also let my son feed their chickens and played football with him. This was the highlight for us and we enjoyed the experience overall.

Has the most amazing daytrip with our guide Giga. He took us to different winery’s, a monastery, to see how they make the famous puri bread and to eat at the home of a local Georgian family. Giga was so knowledgeable and friendly and made this one of our best days of our trip. 100% recommend this tour for anyone visiting this beautiful country!

We had a happy and memorable trip in Tbilisi and Kutaisi, thanks to our superb guide - Giga. Georgia's landscape was breathtaking; the view from Jvari Cathedral was wonderful; Uplistsikhe Cave Town was awesome. We experienced a heavy snow in Kutaisi; but it did not dampen our spirits. Explored the city on foot and enjoyed the white Christmas. Last but not least, we treasured our trip to Vellino Wine Cellar (learnt a lot about the traditional wine making process - thanks to the Beka, the owner), and then we had a wonderful home-cooked lunch at Kakheti, hosted by Giorgi. Happy tummy, happy heart. While in Georgia, drink "Chacha". Thank you Giga for showing us the beautiful Georgia.

Private wine tour- It’s the best decision you can make during your time in Sakartvelo. As a wine lover couple we have enjoyed so much the trip to Kakheti region. It’s not only the wine you will enjoy on your tour but also all the village views: raw meet sales spots, chuchkhela, fresh bread and cheese, stray dogs and cows near the road. Cacasus mountains view is worth it’s own 5* rating. And the dinner at the local family experience is simply exceptional. Special thanks to our guide Giorgi!

It was a lovely day spent enjoying Georgian wine , food and company! Giga is a great host. The day was planned well and really enjoyed hearing Giga’s stories about his family home and winery. The lunch was really great too at a traditional family home which felt so welcoming. Their backyard was filled with so many kinds of fruit trees. And of course the wine was the star of the day! It was interesting to

Absolutely amazing! We’re so happy we picked this private tour. We were picked up from our hotel right on time and had a smooth drive to our first wine tasting. Nika was a great guide throughout the whole day and had lots of knowledge of Georgia and the places we visited. We got to visit places that without this tour we wouldn’t have thought to visit. We got a very local perspective of Khakheti and had amazing food with a local family. It was our favorite day during our trip!
