This was the absolute highlights of our trip to Georgia! Our guide, Mamuka, was absolutely fantastic knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Georgian culture, wine, and history. He made the journey enjoyable from start to finish and created such a fun atmosphere throughout the day. A special thank you also to Giga, the organiser. Visiting his home was an unforgettable experience and truly felt like a glimpse into authentic Georgian hospitality. The food was incredible—fresh, delicious, and prepared with so much care. It was easily some of the best food we had during our stay in Georgia. The wineries were all excellent, but the final wine tasting was particularly memorable. It was very social, lively, and a great opportunity to meet people, enjoy the wines, and end the day on a high note. If you're visiting Georgia and looking for a wine tour, I couldn't recommend this experience more highly. Amazing wine, amazing food, and even better people.

The man, the myth, the legend - Giga and his lovely team really know how to show you Georgia. You’ll get a unique insight and understanding of the country (and if you like wine, strap yourself in). It’s beautiful and I’d highly recommend the wine tasting and local family meal - highlight of the trip.

We had an incredible four day private guided tour organised and led by the brilliant Giga. We had never been to Georgia before and only had a limited time to travel - with an ambitious itinerary. But from the first moment we reached out to 11regions with an initial enquiry we knew we were in great hands! Giga listened to all our ideas and put together the perfect schedule that allowed us to see and do all the things we wanted - including asking him for suggestions of things that would take us into the heart of authentic Georgia. Combining the guiding with the driving really enabled us to relax and throughout our trip he was on hand to deal with anything and everything, adapting where needs be, without ever batting an eyelid! Giga is very relaxed and easy to get on with and planned a trip that combined insightful knowledge with lots of fun. Highlights included being able to trek up to Gergeti Church in Kazbegi and being invited to enjoy a stunning family-cooked lunch - easily the best food we had all trip. This surpassed all our hopes and we could not recommend Giga and 11regions highly enough.

Alex, our guide, was absolutely wonderful! His time management was perfect, and thanks to that (and maybe because it wasn’t peak season), we were able to take our time and fully enjoy every single stop. Learning about the history of Georgia and its wine, taking in the beautiful scenery, and of course, the wine and food tastings—everything was such a fun and fantastic experience.

Absolutely fantastic! I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Alex, our guide, was friendly, easygoing, and incredibly knowledgeable about every site that we visited. We really felt that we were able to get a sense of the relevant Georgian history and culture throughout the excursion. Lunch at Giga’s family home was wonderful and an experience beyond what we could have hoped for-a true display of lovely Georgian hospitality! I will also note that the day after our tour, Giga and Alex kindly reached out to us to offer restaurant recommendations, something we had asked for during the tour. Please book this amazing experience!!!!

The experience with Giga as our guide was one of the best we’ve ever had. It was our first trip to Georgia so we wanted to get out of Tbilisi and see more of the country. This tour offers variety, history, culture, amazing food and wine. After my husband and I booked a private tour, it was easy to communicate through WhatsApp. Giga was prompt in picking us up at our hotel, and explained what we were going to do during our day together. We stopped at Manavi fortress where there were no tourists (!), the views were amazing, looking down over the vineyards. We then stopped at a very small shop and watched a woman make bread with a circular oven. We were able to eat the hot bread with three different types of cheese. Again, no tourists. Driving in the fertile and beautiful country was worth the drive. As we got closer to the mountains, we stopped at a”nunnery” Bodbe Monastery of St Nino with manicured gardens. There were plenty of tourists but not overwhelming. The highlight of the trip was the lunch at Giga’s home that his parents prepared. It was with wine that Giga produced. His wine cellar is Tsarapi Estates. The food was traditional Georgian, and simply amazing. There were plenty of options for vegetarians and meat eaters. Too much food, but Giga assured us it would not go to waste. We were able to eat in the family garden, with ducklings and chicks running around as we ate. I could have sat there all day. We ended up buying wine to take back to Minnesota. Finally we visited another small family winery, called Muzze wine cellar. It was operated by two brothers, with the third little brother (age 9) helping out. Grandma and mother kept bringing us treats of food while the brothers showed us their production facilities and we tasted wine. We bought more wine. The day was long, as we got back to the hotel at 5:30 pm, but I wouldn’t change a thing. The transportation is comfortable, with AC and water, and the views along the way give you a good idea of beautiful Georgia. Giga is knowledgeable, kind and respectful: I highly recommend this tour and him as a guide.
