Midori san was an amazing tour guide! She told us all about the history of Kamakura, and showed us lots of fun spots on the way to the shrines. I highly recommend this tour to hit the historical sites in Kamakura with plenty of time left to explore the area for the rest of the day! Thank you again, Midori san!!

The tour to Kamakura was charming — a true immersion in Japan’s history, spirituality and beauty. Each temple, street and landscape seemed to reveal a little bit of the Japanese soul. The guide made the experience even more special with his kindness, attention and deep knowledge of the place. Always smiling and patient, she was able to lead the walk with ease, answering every question and sharing fascinating curiosities. His sympathy turned the tour into something far beyond a tourist visit: it was a genuine encounter with the local culture, full of learning, serenity and unforgettable moments. A lovely experience!

Our tour guide Maki was excellent. She was very pleasant, knowledgeable and gave us such a clear, easy to understand history of Buddha Temples and Shinto Shrines including how people of today carry the Japanese customs forward as part of everyday life. I don’t think we would have had the same experience if we did this on our own. She lives in Kamakura and was so happy to share her home town with us. She also shared her must try foods while in Japan. Book your tour with Maki. You won’t be disappointed.

I had the luck to be the only one in my tour. Maki was an amazing and attentive guide, with a lot of passion for the region and lots of knowledge of its history. She was very kind and she even gave me little gifts. 100% would recommend.
