Kampong Phluk offers an intriguing blend of cultural tradition and seasonal scenery. It’s quieter and arguably more genuine than nearby floating villages—but worth visiting with an awareness of potential over-tourism and a compassionate mindset. Spending a half‑day there can offer lasting memories of Cambodia’s lakeside heritage, especially if you pair it with ethical choices and mindful presence.

I joined the Kampong Phluk Floating Village, War Museum & Killing Field tour during my visit and it turned out to be a great experience. The floating village was very interesting, and it was amazing to see how people live their daily lives on the water. Visiting the War Museum and Killing Field was emotional but also very educational, helping me understand Cambodia’s past better. The tour was well managed and everything went smoothly. I’m really happy I decided to take this tour and would definitely recommend it to others.
