Kanchanaburi War Cemetery

Depart from your hotel in Bangkok and begin your journey to Kanchanaburi. Your first stop is the War Cemetery (Donrak) is situated adjacent to Saeng Chuto Road which is the main road through the town. After the end of World War II, the cemetery at Don Rak became the final resting place for many of those who had been forced to endure the brutal conditions imposed by the Japanese army during the construction of the Thailand to Burma railway. JEATH War Museum

Explore JEATH War Museum, name JEATH is derived from countries engaged in the WWII death railway construction from 1942 to 1945: Japan, England, America, Australia, Thailand and Holland. And as the name suggests, this small museum displays photographs and illustrations narrating the living condition of prisoners of war (POWs) during that cruel time, some of which were donated by former POWs who survived.
