What To Expect
The Kayak and Stand Up Paddle Tour in Ferragudo lets you explore the serene Arade River and enjoy picturesque views of this charming fishing village. 1. Drop by our shop for equipment, a detailed map, and secure storage for your belongings. Our friendly staff will answer any questions you have. 2. Start Paddling! A 100m walk from the shop takes you to the river. Paddle along the calm waters and enjoy views of the village, the historic Fort, golden cliffs, and secluded beaches. DISTANCE Approx. 3km route from Ferragudo Village view, the castle, small caves, and secret beaches. DURATION At a low pace, it takes about 1 hour to complete the route, but you have 4 hours to explore the river. Stop at peaceful beaches for a picnic or snorkeling. ALL SKILL LEVELS Beginner-friendly route! Before leaving our shop, we'll teach you essential techniques and provide a safety briefing. This tour offers a peaceful, picturesque journey for both beginners and experienced paddlers through one of the Algarve’s most charming areas. The calm river waters provide a perfect setting for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. NOTE: Kayaks are for two people. SUP boards are for one person.

5.00We had a fantastic experience with this lovely small business in Ferragudo, run by two super friendly and helpful young women. They offer kayak, stand-up paddle board, and bicycle rentals – perfect for exploring the beautiful coastline and countryside around Ferragudo. Everything was well organized and easy from start to finish. The equipment was in great condition, and they gave us great tips on where to go and what to see. It really felt personal and welcoming – so much better than dealing with a big rental company! Highly recommended if you’re looking for a relaxed, local experience with great service. We’ll definitely be back!

5.00A sup board rented on the last day of our holiday. Got a good explanation. Board, paddle, pump in backpack of very good quality. Complete with life jacket and waterproof bag for your phone etc. Went to Playa Grande and had a wonderful day. If we had done this earlier in the holiday, we would have rented a board much more often and we would have gone for the bikes as well. If we are around again, we will definitely be back! Super friendly nice lady who arranges everything for you quickly.

5.00What an awesome shop! The team helped me plan when was best to come for a self guided tour on the SUPs. Check in was smooth and easy. Great reco on where to go based on our experiance level. The equipment was in very good shape. I love the live chat feature too...recommended not to come on a specific day because the winds were going to make for a harder paddle. Will come back to rent bikes and scooters for the kids when we return.

5.00We rented SUP and they gave us the best tour we could possible imagine. In a trip of 12 days, we did two trips. Hope to be back next summer do visit more things. They are two locals that know all the good places.

5.00Amazing company and service. We stumbled upon this shop when out walking and went in to enquire about tours. Unfortunately the tours had finished for the season as it was winter so we enquired about renting bikes instead to cycle to portimao the following day. Excellent service - we turned up the next morning, and were given everything we would need including phone holder, helmets and bike locks all we had to do was pay and that was it! super easy and super friendly girls that served us. They showed us the best routes too for cycling off road! We loved it so much that we returned another day to rent e-scooters (very fun) and again were given everything we needed. Ended up staying out later then planned so sent a simple whatsapp message and we confirmed a later return time within minutes- super handy. Would really recommend, next time we are back, we will make sure to try the tours too!
