This grand kayaking adventure will take you to the most remote areas of Assateague Island. Most days we encounter the wild Chincoteague ponies grazing along the marshlands, but always remember these are wild animals and some times you see them and some times you don't. We know all the best locations to view the ponies so we do get to see them 75% of the time. We will also get the chance for some great photo opportunities of the Assateague Lighthouse, one of the oldest running lighthouses in the country. We might even get to see a few of the unique and rare birds migrating through Assateague Island.

5.00What an excellent tour! Basia (our tour guide) was lovely. She took us on a guided kayak tour across the Assateague Channel, showing us where mussels and oysters were protruding from the marsh (we even pulled some out on our own). We collected some sea shells on the bank and when we got to the other side, we were able to watch the ponies grazing in the marsh grass....such a beautiful and peaceful site! Prior to crossing the channel to return, we stopped in front of the light house (another beauticul site). thanks to Basia, (who told us that the "Spring round-up" was today, we were able to make it to the corral on Assateague Island and view the ponies up close as they were corralled! All in all, a perfet day! Thank you, Basia!!

5.00Trip was great! Basia was truly awesome! Our tour was originally booked for Sunday. Basia texted me Friday night to say the weather forecast for Sunday called for strong winds and could we come Saturday. Saturday was actually our first choice (but blocked when I booked online) so we gladly joined the tour Saturday. We were SO grateful because Saturday was the perfect weather day! When we were out on Sunday, we knew that we wouldn't have been able to kayak. In addition to her going the extra mile for us, Basia was wonderful, knowledgeable guide and just an interesting, wonderful person!

5.00The kayaking tour was absolutely amazing! We took the 10:00am tour which was at the optimal time as the tide was high and made navigating the waters easier and allowed for closer viewing of ponies grazing in the marsh. Basia was a wonderful guide. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and very friendly!

5.00We visit Chincoteague almost annually and this is going to be another regular for us! Mom and pop owned, relaxing and good conversation even though it was just her and I kayaking. Very knowledgeable about the area and the ecosystem. Very great recommendation for a group trip or solo with the instructor.
