A unique and true forest experience. Enjoy an exhilarating downhill on the Monster Mountain Scooter, descent through indigenous forest, sweepy bends and single track. A scenic minibus ride takes you into the heart of the forest to the best hills to start your descent in the Garden Route National Park. All of this while on the lookout for the our local wild life, the majestic Knysna Loerie, the shy bushbuck and wild boar.
Scooters are non motorized making this eco friendly. These Swiss designed scooters are used in the Alps during the summer season on the ski slopes when the snow is gone. All trips are guided by professional qualified guides. All scooters can handle one adult with a child passenger.

4.00We were travelling the garden route and looking for unusual activities. This Swiss-origin outing looked like fun! There were three “runs” going through a forested area. One of us bailed after the first run, not their thing. It was fine to continue the trek with the van driver. Staff were friendly and helpful and knew quite a bit about the local forest. Caution if you have low back or knee issues. You will be crouching during the rides.

4.00This is a very fun activity to do with the family. Unfortunately, it rained heavily on the day we chose and we got drenched (obviously not Scootours fault), which spoilt it a bit and we had to cut it a little short. Having said that, the guides are great and we really enjoyed it. Would definitely do it again. Personally I think it is a little overpriced. Perhaps a family discount should be considered? Or a discount for kids under a certain age? Although I guess it’s priced for the overseas visitors rather than SA market. Having said all that, it’s a lot of fun and great for most ages!

1.00Sad to say up front that we didn't go. I booked and fully paid for the tour in July for December (Christmas day) and about a week before we were due to go, the company contacted us to say that we were the only ones going and so they wanted to cancel and offered a different date with a small discount. Sadly like most people doing the garden route we had moved on so couldn't do it . Whilst I understand the commercial aspect, I would think the company should follow through on the tours it offers, even if some days are more profitable than others, so needless to say we were very disappointed and hence the score. The refund was prompt and full.

5.00Great guides and fab experience. Mini bus could do with air conditioning as stifling. Maybe provide water from a cool box as thirsty work scooting!

5.00Loved it. Went with wife and teenage sons....thought wifey and I would struggle to keep up....loved it....The guide ( Bongi and Justin) was very friendly and helpful. Even when wifey and I fell behind , went abit slower( nerves and youth not what it used to be) and boys being boys, made us feel like slow pokes....will strongly recommend. Great team, great activity

4.00Booking online worked without any problems. A few minutes later I already got a Whatsapp message with the confirmation and the location plan. The boys instructed us very well. The descents were casual and varied in difficulty. For our taste, they should have been longer before getting back in the car. But if the landscape is like that, it's not their fault. Anyway, it's fun.
