This tour starts from Gwangju Metropolitan City.
For tea-lovers and nature-lovers, this tour will be very enjoyable.
We will visit two major tea plantations in Boseong and Gangjin.
While Boseong is well-known for its green tea plantation and attracts many tourists every year, Gangjin tends to be off the beaten path for most foreign travellers. However, Gangjin has over 1,000-year history as a tea cultivated area, and it is the place where the first Korean tea brand was created.
In Boseong, we will visit Korea Tea Museum and Daehan Dawon which is the most popular tea farm in Korea. Here, we will experience Korean tea ceremony with green tea tasting and enjoy green tea Ice-cream. In Gangjin, we will visit Gangjin Dawon Tea plantation with the stunning background of Mt. Wolchulsan, and a private garden of Joseon Dynasty. We will also visit Baeg-un Tea House and taste its long-time tradition tea.

Boseong Green Tea Field Daehan Dawon
Boseong is popular for its perfect climate and soil for growing tea trees, which gives it a unique taste and aroma. Among its many tea farms, Daehan Dawon stands out as an iconic destination with its expansive fields of green tea bushes and stunning views of the rolling hills. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the scenic paths leading to the top observatory, where the views of the sea and refreshing green hills are truly invigorating. To top off the visit, there's the delightful opportunity to taste green tea ice cream. The vibrant landscape makes it a year-round destination.

I had the best day with Veronica, visiting tea fields, learning about Malcha and the unique history of Korean tea, while admiring landscapes that I would have never been able to see on my own. Veronica is very knowledgeable and can answer all your questions about tea and culture that you might have. She was even kind enough to help me get to the next destination of my trip, you feel how she is passionate about her job. I warmly recommend this beautiful experience and hope many join this tour. It feels like I made a new friend on this trip who I hope to see again in the future🤗

My guide, Veronica, helped me beyond the guided tour to find solutions and solve transportation problems especially during my trip. She gave super clear information and explanations during the visit which is very comprehensive, rewarding and super pleasant. Many thanks to her and for the quality of the tour she offers!

This was top three tour experiences I ever had! First and foremost, our tour guide Vicky went far beyond expectations. She had not only in depth knowledge of the tea industry, production and tasting but also being originally from Gwangju she shared historical and cultural knowldge. And finally the setting and scenery of that area is from a movie. I know I will be back to Gwangju. It was an amazing and memorable experience!

I cannot recommend these tours highly enough. Your guide, Veronica, has done all the preparation and I’m sure that if you want her to she will do the tour exactly as advertised on the website. But she’ll also listen to what you want and see if there are particular things you’re interested in, and make adjustments to the itinerary accordingly. Being on a tour with Veronica was like being guided by an old friend, and the tea tour (bookended by the Boseong tea fields and the Baekundong garden, but with some serendipitous diversions in between) could not have been more perfect. Some great food choices too. I look forward to seeing what tours Veronica comes up with next, because I’ll almost certainly book myself on one.

If you want an authentic tour in Korea this is the one to take! The scenery was some of the most beautiful areas I saw on my entire trip in Korea! Veronica the tour guide was amazing! She was informative, introduced us to an amazing dining experience and tea ceremony and talked to us about the area. I am a tea lover and learned so much during this tour while enjoying the absolutely amazing sights of the tea plantations and areas around the plantations and a variety of different teas. I wish we would have known about Veronica and her tours sooner so we could have booked her for other trips while we visited Korea since many of the other tours we took ended up being in areas created for tourists and did not offer an authentic korean experience. It was also great to do a private tour to figure out foods to try since the Korean menu is so different from our menu in the united states. If you are looking for a tour guide who is friendly and informative, or just an amazing experience in korea, this tour is the one to take!

This tour was a highlight of my trip to Korea. Veronica was an amazing guide - I was originally going to tour the tea farms by myself but I’m so glad I booked the tour so I could learn more about tea and have access to awesome restaurants and spots I wouldn’t have found otherwise!

We had a fantastic time in Boseong! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking – endless green tea fields rolling over the hills, creating a peaceful and unforgettable landscape. Veronica was incredibly warm and knowledgeable, making the tour feel personal and engaging. She patiently answered all our questions, shared interesting insights, and kept the conversation flowing throughout. She also took some beautiful photos of us, which we truly appreciated. The tour was thoughtfully organized and captivating from start to finish. Overall, a wonderful experience that we highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

The excursion went very well. It was more than a day of discovery. A journey back in time to the land of tea. Veronica is a real well of knowledge. We loved interacting with her. EVERYTHING seemed natural, she is extremely attentive and kind. We learned a lot about Gwangju and laughed too. For once, I was not doing the guide, it was very nice!!!! A gastronomic, taste, natural, historical and traditional discovery. I absolutely recommend!!!+
