I joined the Mochi Experience not really knowing what to expect, but it ended up being one of the most memorable cultural activities of my trip. The host was incredibly welcoming and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, even for beginners. Learning about the history and meaning behind mochi made the experience feel much deeper than just cooking. Actually making the mochi was so much fun — it looks simple, but it takes more technique (and teamwork!) than I thought. Everyone was laughing and encouraging each other, which made the atmosphere really warm and relaxed. The best part, of course, was tasting the fresh mochi we made ourselves. It was soft, chewy, and completely different from store-bought mochi. I also loved that we could try different fillings and flavors. If you’re looking for something hands-on, authentic, and genuinely fun, I highly recommend this experience. It’s not just about food — it’s about culture, connection, and sharing a special moment together.
