Eagle Square
Eagle Square, also known as Dataran Lang, is a prominent landmark in Langkawi, Malaysia, situated near the Kuah Jetty. It's famous for its large statue of an eagle, a symbol of Langkawi, which is also known as the "Eagle Island". The statue is 12 meters tall and is poised as if ready to take flight.
Durian Perangin Waterfall
Durian Perangin waterfall is situated on the north eastern part of Langkawi and doesn’t smell or taste like Durian at all. The name is a result of the tall durian trees that grow in the forests near the waterfall. Durian Perangin is a multi-tiered waterfall and each cascade makes a freshwater pool at its base. It is slanted towards the northern part of Gunung Raya, the highest mountain peak in Langkawi. The waterfall is surrounded by intriguing rock formations and dense forest. The water of Durian Perangin is cool and refreshing which makes it a popular spot among locals for picnics or a quiet day away. 3.00Make sure you know where you want to go. Drivers English was not very good and difficult to understand. Asked us what we wanted to do etc but assumed he would take us to tourist hotspots. Took us to a mangrove river expecting us to take river trip, however the cost was in excess of what we were willing to pay and more than the actual trip cost. He then took us to Cable car which was great, he dropped us off and said call when needed picking up but give him 10 minutes to get there. We were there nearly 2 hrs two when ready to leave rang him 4 times no answer, emailed him and left messages nothing. We went to car park spoke to another tourist guide who after I gave him drivers number, he rang him and he eventually answered and came to collect us. We just asked him to drop us at cruise ship. The driver was young and possibly i nexperienced in the tourist trade, he was a nice guy and we expected him to have some more knowledge of wher3 to go and do but perhaps we should have researched better

5.00Wazin, our guide/driver was very attentive and extremely knowledgeable. We visited the famous gigantic Langkawi eagle, drove ATVs to a waterfall, visited Langkawi’s beautiful beaches and rode the notorious cable car
