What To Expect

Create unforgettable memories as you explore Langkawi’s famous mangrove forest on a guided kayaking adventure. Paddle along the serene river and discover the unique flora and fauna that thrive in this remarkable ecosystem. This 3.5–4-hour tour includes a boat ride to the kayaking station, a guided kayak tour (1.5–2 hours), and all necessary equipment, including a kayak with back support, paddle, life jacket, dry bag, a hat and a waterproof phone case. Drinking water and lunch are also provided. To ensure a comfortable experience, please bring extra dry clothes, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, and a towel. Our guide Wan was amazing! He went above and beyond to spot wildlife and explain. There are many different companies who offer this tour, but would highly recommend this one. They only have small groups and as an eco tour company they give back a portion of their profit to nature/ community. The actual kayaking takes about 2 hours. Quite a workout but really great! You get a tasty lunch too and a visit to the bar cave is also included. Loved this tour!

An absolute must-do if visiting Langkawi. Kayaking through the Mangroves gives such an intimate experience that’s not possible with the regular boat tours. We booked with Sham and our guide Wan made this such a fun and relaxed day. Such a great guy! 🤗 If it’s rainy season, you’re dry again in 10 mins. Part of the experience! 😅

sham taught us a lot about mangroves, living things, how to touch them, and more! I’m glad we chose kayaking, as it allows us to walk down the narrow mangrove path! 😆 I was also happy that they took so many photos! Thank you for having a great time! Great. by Ayu, Toshi from japan 🇯🇵

I highly recommend this activity! The organization was impeccable, and it truly was an unforgettable experience. The Langkawi mangroves are a must-see, especially when explored by kayak. The highlight of the trip was definitely our guide, Sham. His knowledge was impressive, and he made the experience even better with his humor and friendly personality. Absolutely amazing experience! The mangrove jungle felt like another world and these 4h felt like living a whole little life. I believe everyone should experience it at least once! I was pleasantly surprised by how well everything was organised to the smallest detail from storage space and waterproof bags to tasty lunch, drinks, and even hats. The guide was super helpful and thoughtful. Before starting, we had a clear kayaking briefing, continuous assistance from him, and plenty of stories about the local wildlife. I’ve visited 42 countries and thought it would be hard to surprise me, but this tour truly stole my heart. That’s why I’m writing this review: if you’re wondering whether to go or not — just go! It’s a unique experience, beautifully organized and absolutely worth it.

We had a very nice tour and lunch in the floating restaurant. Sham was fantastic, he explained everything and made sure everyone was always happy and had the possibility to observe every animal or plant.
