What To Expect
Get a convenient pickup service by songtaew (a passenger vehicle in Thailand) from your hotel on Koh Lanta along the main road between Saladan and Kantiang Bay. Start the course with a welcome drink and get useful cooking instructions from the Thai chef with many years of experience. Learn how to cook healthy and delicious Thai food with a practical hands-on approach to surprise your family and friends at home as a gourmet souvenir from Thailand. Two classes per day are held in a spacious teak-wood house just inland in the south of Phra Ae Beach (also known as Long Beach), and many of the vegetables and spices are sourced from an on-site organic garden. Midday and evening classes last for 4 hours. The group will collaboratively choose 4 dishes from the available selections which change for each course. The menus offer a good mix of salads, soups, stir fries, noodle dishes and curries made from hand-made pastes, plus enjoy a feast of your own making at the end of the class! All dishes can be made vegetarian per request, please let us know upon booking.

5.00Very well equipped and organised cookery school. Our teacher was perfect introducing our small group to all the ingredients used and the culture of Thai cuisine. Fun, interesting and entertaining we cooked 4 dishes in total out of a selection of 10; a pad Thai, a Penang curry, a stir fry and a Thai beef salad. Chicken, shrimp and vegetable were available for all options. The fact that as a non cooker I produced a restaurant standard chicken Penang curry by the end was remarkable! Excellent experience and 10 out of 10.

5.00I had a very good and positive experience! I always loved Thai food and as a professional cook/chef I wanted to have a deeper dive on the subject. The amazing Chef/teacher educated our group with knowledge of ingredients and methods to achieve that unique flavour and aroma of Thai cuisine. It was simple, very interesting and fun! The lesson was on a very beautifull and relaxed place. I highly recomend it!

5.00We have actually done this cooking course twice now. We enjoyed the food and experience so much we wanted to do it again, so booked on when we came back to the island. Once again we had a great time and hope to cook the meals we have learnt once back home.

5.00The most fun experience of our trip! Noi is not only an amazing chef but also missed his calling as a comedian. We absolutely enjoyed the experience and the food was delicious. It felt good to give back to the animals that were so mistreated before coming to this sanctuary. If you are considering this class, do it, you won’t regret it!

5.00Fantastic experience with knowledgeable instructors:) The activity is suitable for families. We had two children aged 11 and 7. They helped make two dishes, we adults made four. The group of 12 agreed on which four dishes to prepare, and we ate the food together.

5.00It was a great expérience to do over again ….,and a very good Chef who learned us perfectly how to prépare 4 plates between the multiple Thaï plates proposes to the participants ….kop kun kha :)
