You can only get to Lantau island by cable car. The views are excellent. Dont bother with the crystal car, there is really nothing to see below you. There are some 200 steps up to the Big Buddha which looks and felt a by daunting but many small children managed the climb.

We had an amazing time on this trip! The weather was a bit chilly and foggy, but it didn’t take away from the experience, even though we couldn't see the Tian Tan Buddha. We got to try a variety of local foods in Tai-O that we can’t find back home and enjoyed the area. Our guide was not only friendly but also took fantastic photos and was incredibly kind. We highly recommend this day trip!

We especially enjoyed his food recommendations and sense of humor. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the sights on Lantau Island.

Benny came and picked us up at the hotel and spent the whole day with us. He tailored the day to our interests but still kept us on schedule. 10/10 would do again.

Wonderful day/tour. We started early and avoided the crowds at the Buda (a lot of stairs). Malin was a great guide and very personable. She knows the area very well.

Lydia was absolutely fantastic. She is very personable plus she is a licensed guide so knows a lot about the area. She was very supportive of making it easier since one of us has some ability issues. She suggested upgrades as needed. After the tour of the Buddha, she took us to a wonderful fishing village for a ride on a boat to see dolphins and then have a nice local lunch. I wish we had met her the day before and had two days with her instead of just one. Kent
