De omgeving van de trek was magisch, onderweg zijn we enorm goed begeleid door een lieve, relaxte, down to earth gids, Jorge Elder. He was amazing, along the way he kept telling us more about our environment with the highlight Machu Picchu where he passionately told us about the history. The cooking along the trek was amazing and we never had too little to eat. Everyone on the team was super friendly!

We originally booked the inka trail to Machu Picchu but ended up doing the Lares trek instead and boy were we lucky! What a great experience, to be able to enjoy the marvelous Andes Mountain with such a knowledgable and friendly guide, that was Maurito! Couldnt have asked for a better way to see one of the Wonders of the World.

The Lares trek was an amazing way to see the Andean mountains and see the way of life of the local people. Mauro was an excellent guide, always taking the time to explain the nature and history of the Quechua culture. The trek took us over a high mountain pass with two nights camping and then the trip to Machu Picchu on the train with a night in a hotel. We had excellent support from the horseman Jonathan carrying the equipment and our chef Edgar who cook great food. I have never been so well fed on a camping trip! I would really recommend the Lares trek as an alternative to the busy Inca trail

It has been 4 very special days, we as at home, the team did everything possible to be as good as possible, both with food and with tents. Special mention to our Guide Mauro, who has accompanied us these 4 days and has taught us all the history of Peru, from the Quechuas to the plants and animals that we found. It is certainly a very good tour and it really brings you closer to Peruvian culture and its people.
