What To Expect
Quito
Leaving from Quito, we will take the Panamerica Norte highway and drive towards the border with Colombia for 4 hours 30 minutes. We will cross the Rumichaca bridge and in 30 minutes we will be at our destination.
Las Lajas Sanctuary
Las Lajas, one of the best-known religious sanctuaries in South America for its beauty and the difficulty in its construction. If we wish we can have breakfast or lunch and of course visit the Sanctuary museum to learn about the history of the local tribes. The return can be done using the cable car, this takes a time of more or less 20 minutes. I will pick you up at the end station of the cable car.

5.00Although, it is a long and arduous day in the car, it is absolutely worth it such a magnificent site in Columbia. The tour guide made it exceptional by also taking me to an incredible unique cemetery in Ecuador.

5.00I do not know how this excursion could be made better. We were picked up right on time in a very clean and comfortable car. The ride was exactly as described with outstanding guide Carlos and our driver. Carlos helped us exchange money in Columbia for all our expenses there. The cathedral was beautiful. The gondola ride was spectacular giving us an incredible view of the valley and cathedral. We spent as much time as we chose there. We visited the museum which is really nice and had several opportunities to visit the cathedral. We also went to the falls…incredible. Off to the spectacular figures in the cemetery. We stopped for a local lunch and then headed back. Volcanoes, lakes, churches and local foods and snacks. Dropped back at the hotel after a very full day. Incredible!!

5.00One of the best tour in Quito for sure. Our tour guide Gustavo was awesome. He picked us up at our hotel on time and drove 5 hours to Las Lajas. The Sanctuary was amazing. Our dream of visiting our lady of lajas finally came true. We also visited a cemetery in Tulcan. Awesome tree designs/maze. Will definitely recommend this tour to anyone.
