Lava Show: Premium Experience
Access to the Premium Lounge: Enjoy the luxurious VIP lounge on the second floor, specifically designed to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. Behind the Scenes Video: Exclusive behind the scenes video after the classic experience is over that explains how the lava-melting process works. Premium Balcony Seats (hot!): More comfortable balcony seats on the 2nd floor with unhindered balcony view over the lava flow. These seats are extra hot! Duration: 1 hour 10 minutes A drink of choice upon arrival: As part of the Premium Experience you get a welcome drink of your choice from the lounge bar A giftwrapped piece of lava: A unique and beautiful piece of black shiny lava (tachylite) from the show, giftwrapped in a velvet pouch including a tag.
The Classic Experience
Duration: 50 minutes: A ~10 min intro by the lava host, a dramatic, educational video, and then the lava flows into the showroom. Q&A at the end.

5.00Excellent show! Just was very informative and also funny. Not only did he give a detailed explanation, he was able to answer all questions. The lava was incredible. Host demonstrated different properties of the lava and one could really feel the intense heat of it.

5.00This was absolutely fantastic, our Lava guy Iain from Scotland was such a great host and (maybe I’m biased because I’m Scottish) I thought he explained things really clearly. I upgraded to the VIP as it wasn’t that much more expensive - I’m not sure if I would necessarily recommend it but I still think it was worth the money. It was nice to have a wee piece of lava to take home and a drink. The way the lava poured into the room and you could instantly feel the heat and light was incredible. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone coming to Reykjavik

5.00The lava show is a worthwhile experience. It takes place in a small theater and takes about 45 minutes. The highlight is clearly getting to be up close.to a lava flow. Pretty rare to be able to experience lava so close in actual volcano, so this the next best thing.

5.00This was way cooler than expected. They literally pour 1100°C real lava in front of you and you _feel_ the heat. Super unique Iceland experience. The host was incredibly knowledgeable — explained the science, volcano history, and safety stuff in a way that was fun, not boring. Great with questions from kids and adults. Short, safe, and totally worth it. You leave understanding why Iceland exists. Do this before you hit the Ring Road. 10/10.

5.00Really great show - very knowledgeable and friendly staff - went back another day to shop for more souvenirs - show was impressive and worth the visit - very educational - just a note - the lava cools down quickly so there is only a bit of molten lava being shown - but still very interesting experience
Definitely worth the time and cost if you like learning about volcanos.
