In this activity, you'll learn about Puerto Rico's native medicinal plants, from their origins to their physical benefits. You'll identify wild plants, how and when to use them. We'll prepare simple and useful home remedies for your daily life. We'll compare pharmaceutical medications with medicinal plants. We'll talk about plant care and home remedies for eliminating diseases. This is an educational and sensory activity.

What To Expect
Learn about our native medicinal plants of Puerto Rico. From their origins, uses, and benefits. This workshop covers three types of home remedy preparation. We discuss different types of seeds and their applications. We also identify wild medicinal plants, compare contemporary medicines with medicinal plants, find homemade solutions for plant diseases, and walk through a medicinal farm to identify different plants.
