Experience a magical moment in Lapland’s wilderness at a frozen lake far from artificial glow. Gather around a warm campfire, enjoy hot drinks and grilled sausages, or relax inside a cozy warm shelter. Through a telescope, explore constellations, planets, and — on clear nights — even the Moon. A stargazing app helps you navigate the sky in real time while your guide shares stories about Lapland and the magic of the Northern Lights. You’ll have time to take stunning photos of the stars, the lake, and — if conditions are right — the aurora shimmering above and reflecting below. Optional snowshoe walk across the lake adds a peaceful Arctic touch.

Please note that Aurora sights are not guaranteed. Even when the solar activity is right and the timing is perfect, we still need to be lucky to see the lights.

Spend an unforgettable night in Lapland’s Arctic wilderness, watching the stars and waiting for the Northern Lights to appear. We’ll drive to a peaceful frozen lake, far from city lights, where the aurora often dances across the sky and reflects on the ice — creating a magical double-sky effect. We arrive at a quiet frozen lake surrounded by snowy forest — the perfect spot for stargazing and aurora viewing. We light a cozy campfire, grill sausages, and enjoy hot drinks under the stars. If it gets cold, you can relax inside a warm shelter with a hot beverage. Through a telescope, you’ll observe stars, constellations, and — if skies are clear — even the Moon in stunning detail. We use a stargazing app to explore the night sky in real time. As the night deepens, we watch the sky. If conditions are right, the Northern Lights appear — shimmering above and mirrored below this is the time to capture this magical moment . A breathtaking, unforgettable experience you will never forget.

This trip was the absolute highlight of our entire holiday! Everything ran like clockwork, which was so important for us as I was a single parent travelling with a 9 and 7-year-old. The fun started right in the van, with a great atmosphere and engaging guides who made the journey feel like an adventure (it was like a rugby tour at times!). It felt a bit like storm chasing, with the guides determined to find the best spot for us to see the lights. Their persistence paid off - we witnessed the most amazing Northern Lights display! The fact that they took stunning photos and shared them free of charge was a fantastic bonus. The drivers and guides were fun, knowledgeable, and brilliant at catering to all ages. While snowshoes weren’t required this time, the experience was still magical and perfectly planned. We can’t thank the team enough for their time, patience, and dedication to making this an unforgettable experience for our family. Highly recommend this trip for anyone seeking a stress-free, well-organised, and memorable adventure!

Keo Wilderness contacted us a day before our trip would start and ask if we can’t join them that evening to increase our chance of seeing the northern lights. Snow was forecast for the next few days. That evening we experienced an amzing show of the lights and we want to thank everyone at Keo Wilderness for inviting us for that evening.

We were a family of 8. We all had an amazing trip. The guides were lovely and very knowledgeable. The snowshoeing was fun. Standing on the frozen lake and seeing all the stars in the sky was out of this world. The hot juice and fire were also very welcome A great night out!

good experienceoooooooooo It was an outstanding experience. The pick up was very on time and the guide was really nice and talkative. Made me felt very very nice and warm. He was very professional as well as well pre planned where to go before going on the trip. We went to two places the first one was descent with nice aurora,but the guide said there will be better ones so we went to another national park and the lights were even stronger! He was very patient with taking pictures as we took at least ten. He is very good at shooting as well! With his professional camera!
