What To Expect
We begin in Largo de São Domingos, next to Rossio Square, with a taste of the iconic ginjinha — a cherry liqueur served at the oldest ginjinha bar in Lisbon, open since 1840. After that, we visit a traditional tavern, one of the last in the city center, to try pastel de bacalhau paired with a glass of Vinho Verde. A stop for a bifana follows — the spicy marinated pork sandwich locals call one of the best in Lisbon. At a nearby viewpoint, we flame chouriço à bombeiro in a clay dish and share it with regional wine. To finish, the city’s sweetest classic — the pastel de nata.

5.00What a night! What a tour, great company and food! Spend my 50th birthday with Sophia and her food tour and can't think of a better way to do it. We had a fantastic evening with great food and drinks in the most fantastic spaces. Can't think of better way to enjoy authentic local delicacies. Great fun and a night full of joy and belly aching laughter. Thank you Sophia, you were fantastic.

5.00Sofia is a great tour guide! I loved the tour so much that I went twice during my trip to Lisbon. The food was diverse and unique, and we also got to explore the city on foot in between each restaurant. Sofia is knowledgeable about the history of both the food and the city, and I learned a lot about the culture and heritage of Lisbon. Saúde!

5.00Where to even begin? Sophia has crafted such a magical experience in this tour. We started as strangers and left the tour as friends with full bellies and warm hearts. Sophia was amazing with our 11 & 13 year old children and kept them engaged - even our slightly fussy child. I could go on and on but this was the singular best travel experience we have ever had and we hope to someday be able to return the favor for Sophia in our home city of New York. Book this tour now.

5.00I had a wonderful evening in a group of 7 people with Sofia. She was very knowledgeable, very entertaining and took us on a voyage of discovery of the food and drinks of the region. I could not have eaten more and it was all very tasty, in a variety of locations, some small, some larger. We had such a great time and I could not recommend this more highly. Worth every penny.
