The Devils Pool itself is a deep natural pool that has been created by thousands of years of erosion, but what is unique about it is that there is a rock ledge on the lip of the Falls, where the water is only a few centimeters deep.
Access to this unique Island is seasonal and depends entirely on the water level in the Zambezi River. In low water season, approximately end of August to December, guests have the opportunity to swim in Devil's Pool.

What To Expect
Victoria Falls is one of the world's natural wonders and among the most spectacular sights in all of Africa, and the best vantage point from which to witness it is Livingstone Island. David Livingstone first glimpsed the Mosi-oa-Tunya (Smoke that Thunders) after being canoed across to this very island. Five trips a day to Livingstone Island are conducted. A twin-engine boat will take you on a thrilling journey through the fast-moving channels of the Zambezi. On the island you will be given a guided tour, learning about its history from ancient times when it served as a sacrificial site to the present day and its World Heritage status. Either a breakfast, lunch or high tea will be served to you depending on the slot you would have booked. Soon after the tour and the meal, you will taken back on land by a speedboat for your return transfer to your hotel.

5.00We had a great time at Angels Pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the weather lovely, and the falls impressive. Besides the excitement of the falls edge, we were delighted with the gourmet breakfast obviously prepared by a skilled chef. We were very impressed. Wish the water level had allowed for Devil's Pool, but still an amazing adventure, and was great viewing as the water was high and powerful.
