By taking a tour of a craft distillery that is pairing their spirits with local craft chocolate, you will have the opportunity to taste and learn about the unique flavor combinations that can be created. You will also have the chance to meet the passionate artisans who create these products and learn about their craft. It's a wonderful way to experience the local culture and flavor of a region and to support small, independent businesses.When you pair craft spirits with craft chocolate, you can experience the way that the flavors and aromas of each product complement and enhance each other. For example, a rich and complex brandy might pair well with a dark chocolate that has notes of coffee or roasted nuts. A lighter and fruitier gin might pair well with a chocolate that has notes of citrus or berries.
This activity is also unique due to the fact that we are the only distillery in Croatia that offers pairing of craft chocolate and craft spirits.

What To Expect
During this experiance you will taste 5 of our own craft spirits. Those spirits will be paired with awarded croatian craft cheese "Gligora" which will melt on top of your thoung in betwen of spirits tasting.This is a great and short experience where you will try 5 different spirits paired with matching flavor cheese. It is really unique experience iz Zagreb led by our distillery House of Spirits . Experience length is around 45 minutes

5.00I came to the House of Spirits with my boyfriend for his birthday and we had a really good time. We tasted locally crafted spirits and were given a history on how they were made and the process behind the spirits. This made the tasting interactive and engaging him. The owner was really personable and knowledgeable on the products, I would recommend this experience to anyone looking to do something different whilst in Zagreb.

5.00Clearly this new distillery is the owner’s passion. He shared stories about getting started and how he experiments with different flavor profiles to create his products. One thing, however, was that he lists this as a tasting with chocolate pairings. This only happened with one of the drinks so it’s not really accurate. Otherwise it was a fun time.

The owner's expertise in spirits was impressive, and the meticulous attention to detail in crafting and designing the bottle illustrations was remarkable. Not only did I gain knowledge about spirits, but I also learned so much more about the city itself. Recommend!

5.00Hrvoje gave us a thorough explanation of his unique distillery methods, for crafting excellent tasting spirits. We enjoyed his challenges to detect from smell and taste, which herbs he used. Chocolate pairing enhanced the flavor. We bought small bottles of his gluten free rum (tasting very much like dry unsweet whiskey) for our gluten free daughters. We are very happy for choosing this tasting event. We wish he was better known worldwide.

5.00We normally don’t drink spirits but we wanted to try something different! It was so much fun to taste the very original spirits the owner has developed and hear his story about getting started during the pandemic! Brix is small and located just below Stone Gate so easy to find. We tasted 6 spirits including a beer liqueur made with stout beer, an experimental spirit with banana, mango and pineapple used in the process and another with 9 Croatian botanicals. The art work on the labels is beautiful and they tell a story about Zagreb. For a fun and educational way to taste some different spirits in a cool setting, go to Brix tasting room! Note: the owner is extremely busy and the tasting room isn’t always open so best to check.

5.00I had a great time, learning about the process and ingredients in each of the spirits that are made by the owners. Some unusual combinations that work brilliantly and taste delicious. I felt super special when I got to buy the first ever bottle of their new product :D
