What To Expect

Your driver guide will pick you up at 9:00 am or at a time of your choice from the lobby of your hotel, Guilin Railway Station, Guilin Airport, Guilin city center, or any other designated location.

After a two-hour drive, you will arrive at the Longji parking lot,where you can purchase entry tickets to the Longji Rice Terraces. Next, you will head to the Ping’an Rice Terraces, the most beautiful terraces, which were among the first to be discovered by tourists. From the Ping’an parking lot, you will walk up to Viewing Platform No. 2 through the village via stone stairs. Along the way, you’ll observe the Zhuang people’s daily life and their traditional wooden houses. On reaching Viewing Platform No. 2, you’ll be greeted by the iconic “Seven Stars with the Moon” formation. From there, you’ll take a walk to Viewing Platform No. 1 along a flat path, passing bamboo groves, rice terraces, and stunning hill views. When you arrive at Viewing Platform No. 1, you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Rice Terraces. Afterward, you will enjoy a Chinese lunch at a local restaurant, then you can visit Huangluo honghair village to see the local people’ s daily life.

We had fantastic time with our guide Sandy, the most important thing for us IS that he was very understanding. We could take as many Pictures, as We wanted, and go where We pleased. Also very very good English speaker! I can recommend, We had super good time.

We did a day trip from Yangshuo. We had a great guide accompanying us — Sundy. Sundy was very informative, giving us tonns of information when we asked, yet very caring, giving us privacy when we needed it. He is also amazingly positive person — you just cant have a bad time and mood with him. If you happen to be on a trip with Sundy — be sure to have amazing time! The terraces are super nice place, finally giving us some rest from the heat of Chinese September we're not used to. This place is genuine and very beautiful, at times feels like alpes. It's a shame we only had one day there — I wish we could stay a bit longer. The only thing we didn't fully liked was food — too heavy, with too much fat, but mb we weren't lucky with particular dishes we chose. Aside from that — great trip with a great guide, and the place is a must visit!

Very nice guide (Mike) who took us everywhere. First a tea plantation, then the village with the women with the long hair (also really eaten top) and then to the rice terraces. Really had a very nice day!

The guide is English and not Spanish. The scenery is stunning. In addition to the visit to the rice paddies, the real way of life of the inhabitants of that area is known. To put a downside, the place selected for the meal was not good.
