Playa Migrino
From July to September in Cabo, Olive Ridley and Black Turtles come to shore to lay their eggs deep in the sand before returning back to sea. The baby turtles hatch about 45 days later, but during this time we protect the nest and take care of the eggs. Our job is to raise the percentage of survival as much as possible. The tour is guided by a marine biologist which brings a fun, educational learning experience where you take part in the release of these baby turtles back into nature.

Pick up was flawless - initially a little confusing as we were in a brb house not hotel- but tour accommodated that and picked us up at our house! Lots of information about turtles was provided. Both children (young as 4-5 years) and adults enjoyed the release and watching turtle babies trundle into the surf. It also felt good to contribute to wildlife restoration projects.

Releasing the baby turtles was an experience of a lifetime! The tour guide was so informative and the little guys looked promising on their journey into the surf. It might have been a good idea to note that there was quite a walk from the tour building down to the water and that shoes would have to be left mid-walk. The trek back was fairly difficult for some us as the sun went down and we basically had to make it back in the dark. The conservation program seems totally committed to keeping as many of these babies safe as possible. I only wish we had more time at the Ranch to meet the donkeys and other animals. Great tour though!!!

We loved this activity! We were a little worried that this is the end of their season, but I'm so glad we still booked! The beach and sunset were beautiful and the turtle experience was amazing. Very sweet activity with my family.

The time you get to spend with the turtle you will release is very fun. I named mine Daisy after my favorite flower. The presentation is extremely interesting and informative. Everyone involved is very friendly and accommodating. I’m glad I got the chance at least one time in my life! I highly recommend this activity. It has made me love marine turtles even more.
