We visited four different family-owned restaurants (two of which were more than 100 years old) in downtown Madrid, and at each stop we enjoyed a few tapas along with a drink. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and shared fascinating details about the food and drinks we were trying, including their origins and how they’re traditionally enjoyed. The tour was filling enough to replace dinner, which was a great bonus. The small, intimate group made the experience even better—we really got to know the other people on the tour. Afterward, most of us continued the evening together with chocolate con churros at a spot recommended by our guide. A fantastic, authentic experience that we would absolutely recommend!
