What To Expect

When you arrive at the meeting point, you will receive a brief introductory talk explaining what bioluminescence is, why it occurs in the lagoon and what are the recommendations to enjoy the experience without affecting the ecosystem. They will then board a boat for a night tour of the lagoon. As it gets dark, the movement of the water generates visible glows on the surface, creating a bright effect that can be observed during navigation. Optionally, participants will have the opportunity to swim in the lagoon to experience the phenomenon up close, watching the water light up around their movements.

This tour was underwhelming. You get on a six-person boat and tour the lagoon/lake at night. They take you to a floating house to swim into so that you can see the luminescence. That’s it. You have to get into the water to see it.
