This was an amazing really experience but 100% as detailed in the experience. We did ride horses to and from the hot springs but didn’t learn about the culture of the village. Our guide pilo/pilar was lovely but dint speak English (I had selected an English guide) which was a bit daunting when none of us had ridden a horse in a while. The horses were really well trained and the country side was beautiful. I’m really glad we did this experience but may not be for everyone

This was one of the times of our lives.. the beauty of the trail was breathtaking, the horses were serene, the hot springs and the history of the Chatinos spiritual baths our guide told us about was spell bounding. Absolutely magical.

Very nice experience to get off the beaten track in the beach area towards the mountains 20 minutes from Zicatela to a village that has hot springs and water birth. The tour arranged transportation for us via taxi, and we were taken to a ranch where the horses were ready for us. First we started on a main street and headed to the river where we rode horses and crossed the river like 6 times. The horses are strong and very well cared for, you can tell they treat them well. There was a little dog from them who was our guide. We are wearing a towel, swimsuit, sunscreen, a cap and pants. Also bring water and something to eat like no shop nearby. We were in the hot springs for like two hours and bought some coconuts there. The water is hot and also allow you to go down to the river that is cooler.

This experience was so magical and precious and beautiful! I would absolutely recommend this tour. Give yourself time to truly feel into the land, the people, the horses, the sweet dogs that will accompany you and tap into slowness, presence and gratitude for the people, the hot springs and the land. Take your time. Move slow. Savior it. It’s a special place.

This was one of the most magical experiences I’ve had in Puerto Escondido. The tour started with a 7am pickup and coffee before heading out to meet the horses who carried us to the hot springs. Riding through fields of corn and crossing streams and rivers was incredibly peaceful. This experience reveals the humble, natural beauty of Mexico in a way that’s impossible to find in tourist-heavy spots. If you’re visiting Puerto Escondido and want something authentic and local, I can’t recommend this enough.

This horse ride takes you through a beautiful landscape that crosses three rivers and ends at hot springs. Your guides, Willy and his father in law, are excellent and knowledgeable. The horses are very well behaved and the guides are experts in handling the horses. Overall, this is an amazing experience, especially if you love animals and nature.

The experience was truly wonderful. Carlos spoke English, was friendly from the start, and made everything easy. The waters were beautiful, and we had plenty of time to enjoy them without feeling rushed. On the way back, he even went the extra mile and stopped to get us typical Oaxacan chocolate, which was such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend this tour.

Great time! Well trained horses and kind staff. There were some rocky areas that were intimidating but the horses handled it with ease.

This tour was an absolutely magical experience! Willy is a very sensitive and calm tour guide, and I felt completely safe and well taken care of with him and his animals. The journey to the spring, as well as the spring itself, allows you to find peace if you are open to it. When I started the tour, I felt unsettled and physically unwell. But after the ride and the second bath, everything was swept away, and I felt completely at peace. The spring is a place of silence. I would immediately recommend this journey to sensitive people who can feel the magic of such places and experiences.
